Yacht Club Standard Room Request Suggestions Please

We are going to be staying at the Yacht Club in a standard room in a couple of weeks. We have never stayed there before so I have no ideas what would be a good room request or area to request. I think we would like to be close to the action of Stormalong Bay and Beach Club restaurants.

Looking for any/all suggestions on where to ask for.

One of the best standard views is overlooking the Wedding Gazebo. Unfortunately though, most of the standard views are in the front of the building and overlook the parking lot and convention center roof.

This site will give you some pretty good info on the Yacht Club layout. The maps themselves are pretty old and a lot of the views shown have been changed over the years. I think it still helps though to have an idea of what area you might like to be in.

I've stayed in one of those standard rooms that overlook the gazebo -- room 3154 to be exact.

Keep in mind requests are just that. The wedding gazebo views are often requested and there are a limited number of them but you can always request it. The other thing you might like to request is that you are close to stormalong bay ... that will get you closer to the middle of the resort and gives them some area to "play with" in terms of location.

We had a wonderful 1st floor room w/wedding gazebo view, #1154. It was awesome! At check in, I was asked by the CM if we wanted 1st floor or an upper floor. The family agreed that we wanted 1st floor and we were so pleased with our room. Enjoy!

My in-laws had a great standard view room on at YC. It was on the 1st floor (I think more people request upper floors) and was at the end of the row of rooms facing the wedding chapel. If you looked to your right you could see the marina.

Depending on the time of year you go you may also be upgraded to water view. Both of our previous visits there have resulted in that, with no finagling or anything.

We were in the same room in August!! Thanks for jogging my brain as I was trying to share the number with the OP! It was convenient, close to all - or relatively so - and lovely view!
