I'm staying at the Swan next week and plan to meet a friend for breakfast on Sunday (5/31) morning. This friend lives in Florida and is just visiting me for b-fast. Since I'm at the Swan and don't want to hit a character b-fast as it will be just the two of us, I'm planning to eat at the Yacht Club Galley. I'm wondering if this is a good idea and if it will work as a non-character, leisurely Sunday morning breakfast. Any thoughts/comments will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes! great place for breakfast. You can have the (non-character) buffet or order off the menu. This has always been one of our favorite breakfast spots. We were sad when they had closed but happy when they re-opened.

Good choice! :)

Yes, another vote for the YC Galley. They offer a really nice breakfast, although I don't know if they still have the non-character buffet option. It's a nice pleasant relaxing atmosphere, and the food is great too!

When we stay at the S/D we like to go to YCG for lunch after MGM or EPCOT. It's a nice quiet and relaxing place to have lunch. We've also had breakfast here and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere as well. Great place to meet a friend for a nice, quiet breakfast.

Another little known breakfast gem-Concourse Steakhouse at Contemporary. It's an a la carte breakfast-no characters (other than Chef Mickey's next door). We enjoyed this one as well.

Mike,

Now that Tony's no longer serves b'fast and Bonfamille's is closed, YCGalley is my favorite b'fast spot, Trails End a close second. You can go with the buffet or order from the menu. A very quiet and relaxing meal.

May I throw in a vote for breakfast at Spoodle's on the Boardwalk. If you are at the Swan, it would be just as easy to get to. Spoodle's has such neat decor and the food is wonderful!

There is no longer a buffet, but there is an all you care to eat platter with the best French toast I have ever eaten!:)

I agree with Spoodles as well. They open at 7:30 am. Their bread basket (danish, croissants etc) and Fruit plate are fresh and tasty. You can get your Mickey Waffle fix, pancakes and french toast as well. Service was quick and efficient.

Another vote for YCG I like Spoodles as well but was really disappointed to see that the Bread pudding is no longer offered or the Italian Breakfast :(
