Has anyone eaten at the YCG recently? We were looking for an early dinner on our last night and then onto Spectromagic. Everything seems booked for early dinners. We had reservations for the Grand Floridian Cafe, but they were for 8:30PM and we would miss Spectromagic. So it looks like it's YCG. Hope it's good. I would appreciate any info.
Thanks!

We ate there in May 07....for the 1st time....

I thought it was very good....better than I expected.....
I had a steak....delicious...
Mom thought hers was good....can't remember what she had.

We ate there in March for the first time. We both enjoyed it and it was a very nice dinner for us. Our reservation was at 6:40. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The food was pretty good. I had the half of chicken and my husband had the steak and he actually didn't need to use ketchup on it! I wanted to try their Boston creme pie for dessert but I was way too stuffed to even attempt it. I also had the clam chowder for an appetizer and thought that was very good. A very nice break from the parks.

I hate being the dissenter but we will never eat at YCG for dinner again.

We were just there in June. We had an ADR for Epcot but we had a large lightning storm in the area. We were staying at BCV and the only place we could get into was the YCG.

We had eaten there for breakfast before and enjoyed it and expected to enjoy dinner.

Menu is limited, in my opinion. Server was not attentive, especially considering there were maybe 15 tables in the whole restaurant with people at them. My DD ordered halibut and it did not come with everyone else's meal. I can't remember the exact time, but it was like 20 minutes or more before her meal came out. I ended up giving her my pork chop dinner because she was so hungry. Had that halibut not made it out before the rest of us were done, and had she not devoured that as well, I had no intention of paying for it.

Our server kept saying, "It's on it's way out." Whatever...I know a snow job when I hear one.

I'm sorry to give a negative review. We've eaten at many WDW restaurants and are fairly easy-going. I'm not one to be picky about service or food. But this pushed me over the edge and I refuse to waste my time trying it again.

We have an ADR for lunch on our upcoming trip. Hope it is as good as some people say it is. We might go to Beaches and Cream if it is not too busy instead. Will have to see on that day. :confused3

But how was the food, Zulaya?

Things do happen...perhaps the first order was cooked incorrectly. I wouldn't write it off for one mishap in the kitchen....but that is just me.:confused3

I'm hoping to see more reviews for YCG. We stay at BCV several times a year and still have not made it to YCG for dinner although we have enjoyed breakfast and lunch there.

You might want to chose the Restaurant Review board (a sub board of Restaurants) to look for info on the food quality.

I would expect you'd have a wonderful meal, then walk it off on your stroll over to Illuminations in the park.
