Yacht Club Galley won't take ADRs for solos!

In all my years as a solo diner, I've never had trouble making solo ADRs. Has anyone eaten at YCG as a solo? Or even if not as a solo, would you recommend dining there? The CM was very surprised and suggested that I could probably get seated as a walk-in, even though it's during free dining. She first looked into it because I couldn't get ADRs there on 2 different nights. She thought that was very odd until she found out that they won't book for a solo diner. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

If you really want to eat there,book a reservation for 2 and just say when you get to the podium that the other person couldn't make it.
