We are staying at the Yacht Club and would love some standard room recommendations. First floor or not? Gazebo view? Close to an elevator or is that too noisy? Any help is appreciated!
:sail:

I reserved standard room at YC also. I can't wait to see what we get

We had room 1091, ground floor garden view of the gazebo, we watched a wedding one afternoon, had gorgeous rose bushes around our patio, it was great walking right out to the lobby but we do prefer a top floor because I dont like to hear my neighbors above me.

2 yrs ago we were on one of the upper levels of the YC facing the main entry way/parking lot.... much to my surprise.... we got to see WISHES every night from our balcony!!!

Hi,

If you request a standard view room with a view of the wedding gazebo you will get all the other requests. We had room 2150 which is a standard view room with view of the wedding gazebo. View of the Wedding Gazebo was the only request we made.

But...the wedding gazebo view rooms are close to the elevator but not so close you hear the elevator as they are on the opposite side of the hall from the Elevator Mechanism. We also had a connecting door in our room/though we weren't using that option. It was also situated fairly close to the lobby. Our room was up the stairs, past the elevator and around the corner down two rooms. It took two minutes maybe less to get from our room to the lobby. Which then puts you close to the boardwalk to the boat dock, access to SAB and close walking distance to Epcot.

There are only about 12 rooms, maybe less that are standard view of the wedding gazebo so if you want this location I definitely wouldn't ask for anything else not even floor.

Another but...I haven't noticed this documented anywhere but using my own mental map I realized that on the first floor Standard view areas of the wedding gazebo in the same place as the public bathrooms.;)

ETA - I posted some photos of the view off our balcony on the YC/BC FAQ thread. One today and one shortly after our stay.
