hi there. me & my fiance will be getting married at wdw this march at the yc gazebo & are debating between the bwi garden suites and the yacht club suites/conceriege.

where are the yacht club suites in the resort? do any offer a view of the yc gazebo? or illuminations? does the tub fit two? description of the room? any special experiences at the yacht club concierge/suite?

would anyone be willing to share photos of these rooms?

thanks so much in advance,

Found a little information on the YC suites. They are located on the 5th floor, same level as concierge. The Junior Suite is 654 square feet and comes with 2 queen beds. I'm guessing that because you'll be getting married at that time, you'd prefer a king bed. I didn't see any mention of a larger soaking tub in any of the descriptions. The standard concierge rooms are basically the same as the resorts other rooms in terms of size. You can request a king bed and a gazebo view with a standard concierge room.

Just based on what I've read, I'd personally be leaning more towards a garden suite at the BW. This will give you the king bed, jacuzzi tub and a truly romantic place to relax. The only downside that I've heard about is that walk to the concierge lounge.

You can follow this link, Boardwalk Inn and then click on the 360 degree view and the picture link over on the right hand side of the page. They have some beautiful shots of the garden suites and the concierge lounge layout.

Do the same for this one, Yacht Club.

Hope that helps.

DH & I stayed at the YC for our honeymoon in 2000. We had a 1 bedroom suite. I don't know if we were upgraded or what, but it actually turned out to be more like 2 bedroom. It had a regular room with a king bed that looked out over the main entrance to the YC from the lagoon side. That connected to a big living room area, multiple couches, chairs, had a tv, little mini bar area w/fridge, dining table and chairs for 2, another bathroom then another room with a king bed. This was a corner room and had another balcony that looked over the pool and boardwalk. The room was 3209. The concierge stuff is on the 5th floor, so we had to take the elevator up, but it was not big deal at all. We loved the room and the location. I've never stayed at BWI, but would definitely recommend YC.

Twojo21, congratulations on the upcoming wedding. How exciting! My husband and I just celebrated 20 years of marriage with a FTW vow renewal last fall. It was incredible -- the FTW team did a wonderful, wonderful job. I hope your FTW is just as ~magical.~

A few years ago, my family stayed inside the Captains Deck Suite at the YC. It was a gorgeous suite and I have a few photos to share of it:
Parlor Room
Master Bedroom
Second Bedroom

This suite was located on the first floor of the resort, on its backside. If you viewed any of my photos, you saw the suite's patio area and its view (the patio was only accessible via the suite -- completely private). As to the suite's master bathroom, again, if you viewed the photos, you saw the large tub and the large shower (the bathroom was gorgeous with lots of marble details).

How was our concierge experience? It was okay. The concierge lounge was nice but we didn't spend any real time in it (we spent the bulk of our time in the pool and in the theme parks). I had personally made all of my family's PS reservations before our vacation began so I didn't use the pre-planning or concierge staff.

No matter where you choose to stay, I hope you have a wonderful wedding and a wonderful honeymoon.

thanks so much ladies for the info, photos & well wishes. this definetly gives us more to ponder. :goodvibes
