Are these the same hotel or 2 distinct hotels? Do they have a daybed in each room like the Boardwalk?

Thanks

They are 2 different hotels as far as booking. But reality is they are the same resort with different theming on each side. Connected by inside hallway, partially outside. Amenities are shared.
Not all rooms have daybed. If it’s something you want, make it first request on your res.

Just a note to clarify that not all rooms at the Boardwalk Inn have a day bed. A large number do but it is not 100% just like the BC/YC as @Sue M indicated.

Another difference that might make a difference to you to think about before booking, the YC has a very high percentage of balconies, and the BC has about a 50/50 mix and some of the balconies are know as Juliet balconies (small standing area with no chairs).

Note: Always request a room with a day bed if you want one.

If I request one is it a guarantee that I will get it? I normally use a Disney Travel Agent (I assume that is why we've had one at BW) but we're only staying 2 days after a cruise and I wasn't sure if that was worth their time.

I’m sure your TA will be happy to make the res for you. The day bed is just a request and not a guarantee unless you have 5 people in the room. If there’s a particular reason why Day bed is a must, include reason in your request.
We stayed at BC and YC, once had a daybed, once didn’t. As it was only 2 people in the room I didn’t care. If I was with both daughters I would have requested as they prefer their own beds

We have stayed at Boardwalk twice, once with a daybed and once without. We've stayed at Yacht Club five times and we had a daybed in the room half the time. Beach Club is by far one of our favorite resorts and have stayed thirteen times.....our rooms have had daybeds more often than not. However, on our CL stay at Beach Club this past month we specifically requested a room with a daybed( which we have never done.) Unfortunately they weren't able to grant our request. This was the last week of April. Mousekeeping brought in a roll away bed for our ten year old. Requests are just requests, and definitely not guaranteed. We requested the daybed in room when we made the reservation at 7 months out.Hopefully your request will have extra pixie dust and your trip goes well!
