Going to BCR for the first time next month and have a few questions. First, is there and counter service food place there for an evening meal? The place by the pool won't do because it's only open until 6PM. I'm used to the Contemporary which has a decent offering, with grill usually open until 11PM. Also interested in refillable drink mugs and the BCR. Can I get a coffee refill at 10PM if I want to? If so, where do I do that? And finally, can I get into EPCOT from the BC through the International Gateway before 11AM, when the World Showcase opens? It sure would be better than having to go all the way around to the front gate. Many thanks for your replies...

Oh! I want to know the answer to all of those questions too! I just booked two more nights at WDW, and we are staying at the BC! :sunny:

I may never see a theme park the whole time I'm there...That pool is so wonderful!

Hello,
I stayed at the Beach Club few weeks ago. they do have the Marketplace which is open to 11. This is where you get your refillable mugs etc. you can get sandwhichs, hot foods(small amount of choses thou) they have breakfast also. and lunch....youi can also buy beer, milk breads, sandwhich meats..mostly everything found in a small store.

as for the gate way. I have always been able to go thru(they rope off the countries) to get to epcot
have a nice trip!

Beach Club Marketplace offers cold sandwiches, salads, soups, bakery goods and gelato as well as a place to refill your mug. I think it is open until 11:00 but it might be 10pm.

Beaches and Cream is sitdown but you can also order burgers to go. It gets very busy though. You can also have your mugs refilled there but it is much faster to do it yourself at the Marketplace.

Yes, you can get into Epcot via the IG at 9am on a non early entry day. Even earlier if you have a reservation for Sgway or Princess Storybook Br..

I'm glad to know the answers to these questions as I will be staying at the BCV's for the first time next month too. As far as getting quick food in the evenings, you could always walk the 5 minute walk to the BW and enjoy a few choices there! Have a great trip!

At the Beach Club Marketplace.... they serve sandwiches. I don't know when they close though....

Martha's Vineyard Lounge is open till 9:30. They have personal pizzas, chicken wings, nachos, peel and eat shrimp and clam chowder.

The Yacht Club has the Crew's Cup Lounge, they are open till 10. They have Caesar salad, chicken wings, hamburgers, club sandwiches, grilled chicken sandwiches and chili. Also, there is the Club Galley, but I don't know when they close either.

As far as the refillable mugs, we got coffee in them. After the morning hours you can go to go to the Lounge to get coffee, maybe other places, but I know you can get it there.

And, yes...you can get into Epcot from the BC through the International Gateway before 11AM. They have a rope across the bridge so that you have to turn left to head to Future World.

Have fun! The BC is GREAT!! :sunny:

I know I have entered as you explained above.. but what about EMH at Epcot... can you enter there for the early day? And do the boats start working the same time that World Showcase opens? Thanks!

Nancy :wave2:

Yes, you can enter Epcot through the International Gateway for morning EMH. This entrance has the exact same opening/closing times as the main Epcot entrance. The boats start running VERY early, much before theme park openings. We stayed at the Boardwalk last month and I often wondered why the boats were running since the parks were no where near opening time yet.
There are many great places to eat in the Epcot resort area. Check out the menus on allearsnet.com. Look at the Boardwalk, Beach and Yacht clubs, and Swan/Dolphin.

I should have been more specific.. what time do the boats start running between world showcase and future world? Sorry for not being specific. And good to know about the boats running early!

We were just at the villas for the 4th of July.

The Marketplace in the BC is open until 11pm. You can get coffee refills up until then. I was there everyday btetween 4 and 5 for coffee and every night just before 11 for coffee.

Beaches and Cream also has a take out area but it get very, very crowded. The line is usually out the door. Not sure of the hours there.

All of the rest of the food choices are sit down.

The walk to Epcot take 10 - 15 minutes tops and the entrance is open the same times that the main entrance is open.

Hi!

Just wanted to get in this thread. We are very excited about staying at the BC next month! My dh wants to travel light, so he will be very glad he can get his "late night snack" at the BC Marketplace.

Please bear with me, as we have never stayed onsite before...is this also a place where we could get a late night "good" piece of chocolate? I'm sort of addicted to a Lindt ball before bed, but I don't think they will travel well in the heat...

I'm cringing and laughing at myself as I ask this...Thanks!

Well there IS a candy shop at the Boardwalk which isn't far. I know that they sell candy at the Beach Club Marketplace as well but not sure about anything "fancy" LOL. Have you visited the Beach Club before? It's a wonderful location. If you have any questions please feel free to Email me or private message me. We'll be there there too!

Do they sell beer by the six pack at the Marketplace or anywhere else at the BC/YC or BW?

I personally don't like American chocolate, but like Lindt! I suggest that you try one of the desserts at the BC to go area in the gift shop - you'll find your chocoalte fix there!

Stock up on your favorite international chocolates while in Epcot....Just steps away from the BC. You can indulge in delicious chocolate from around the world. I love bringing chocolate and pastry from the WS back to the room.

Don't miss Reber chocolate from Germany - the factory was in my backyard in Bavaria, and it's excellent! It's in a red foil wrapping and there are lots of different types.

Also Perugia and lots of other goodies in Italy....... and REAL Cadbury chocolate in the UK.

Bavaria's World Showcase Chocolate Tour - coming soon!

:)

Yes they do sell beer by the 6 pack or in singles. They also sell hard liquor too.

Thanks to everyone for all the great ideas. I can be pretty good about limiting my other treats if I know there is chocolate at the end of the day! It sounds like there are plenty of opportunities for good chocolate around the BC, thank goodness! I am looking forward to real Cadbury -- and I will give the Reber chocolate a taste test as well! A World Showcase Chocolate tour would be terrific...I'll take any and all suggestions you have!

A question about emh mornings. If you enter through the international gateway are you held at the turnstyles or at the rope in the world showcase until the 8 am open? It seems like the hike from the turnstyle to Mission Space would be much longer coming in from WS than from the main entrance, no?

I don't see the Marketplace listed on the dining plan. Has anyone ever used it there?

Otherwise there are no places to use a counter service at the YC/BC if Hurricane Hannah's is closed?

Thanks,

Lisa
