moderate resorts are awesome! We've only stayed at two, POR and CBR, but I was just watching some Youtube video of CBR and really miss that place.

I mean think about it, you get an amazing resort from a mod, at a reasonable price. They're all very spacious, great rooms, theming, the grounds are beautiful, and tons of amenities.

We've been to POR a bunch of times, and to this day it's one of our favorite resorts. I know I'm stating the obvious to many of you, but if anyone is thinking of upgrading from a value to a mod, I highly recommend crunching the numbers to see if it's feasible. Not that there is anything wrong with values, we've stayed at POP and it's a blast, but I often see folks on here questioning the additional $$$ to upgrade.

We've enjoyed our deluxe stays and we're really looking forward to our May trip to AKL. I've been renting points though, so the deluxes worked out really well price wise. We had a 40% off code when we stayed at the Poly.
We are just now thinking where we'd like to stay after our cruise next year and I really really want to go back to POR. I loved it there. I also loved CSR.

For me, the mods meet our needs for price point, atmosphere, size and we love the pools. In fact, I can honestly say I enjoyed POR more than the Boardwalk Villas. Call me crazy, but I prefer the quiet spread out atmosphere after a long day in the parks.
Can't wait to get back to POR

We've only stayed at one mod (CBR), but I do agree that they are great for the cost . We loved CBR and thought it was a beautiful resort, not to mention the food court, pool, and transportation were awesome . We had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again .

I totally agree!! Over last couple of years we have been going to Disney often and sometimes i look at the values to see if we should try it and save a little money, but i just cant bring myself to do it, not that there is anything wrong with values(they look fun) but i just think we would miss the mods way to much and we love the hot tubs!!

We really crunched numbers before deciding to do POFQ this time (our only other on-property stay was at POP). We don't have children, so it isn't so much about size of the room/crowding for us. Basically, I looked over the resort and compared what I thought the overall atmosphere would be compared to POP. POFQ just looks more serene ... more "grown-up" ... less "Disney" and more "place-to-get-away", if that makes sense.

I love POP and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it for those who want to be completely immersed in the theming, etc. But for this trip, I just wanted somewhere that wasn't so "in your face" like POP is.

I hope I come away with two great resorts I can recommend/trust for different reasons at different price points.

We the CBR. To me it's like two vacations in one. The grounds are so relaxing when not in the parks. Can't wait till June to return!
