All I am saying is that in the real world, where many of us live, that unless there was a pre nup, she wouldn't be getting diddly. Adam is the one who helped weird Ashley out again, she did whack out before..

But you gotta remember noone knows that Adam is behind all of that, we’re the only ones that know (the viewers) so keeping with the storyline…given that everybody places the blame squarely on Victor’s shoulders for bringing MJ to town, the judge would have to see his negligence to take care of his wife, gross recklessness, and possible criminal liability as contributing factors to Ashley’s mental condition..…that would have to trump Ashley’s almost breakdown…even in the real world. ...and since Ashley is playing the “I’m the mother of 2 of your kids” card (regardless of how she got them), there’s no judge in the world that would want to uproot the kids (especially after all the recent drama), or give Victor custody (again, he caused the drama)….that would leave Ashley with the ranch…especially because Victor has resources to find other housing.

Besides, Ashley has been jerked around by Victor forever, and she continues to be incredibly loyal to him, despite her friends & family’s feelings….it’s time she stood up to him!

… Victor and the Ranch go one in one. It is and always will be the Newman Ranch. Ash just does not seem to fit there…..

Oh, I totally agree, though, that Ashley dsnt fit at the ranch (altho Ashley married Victor under the same conditions that Nikki had married Victor. So she is a Newman now, but I see what u mean! ..and I do agree).
I’m thinking that she’ll be disgusted and move out after Adam is exposed she loses Faith (LOL!!...pun fully intended!!). That would leave the house empty so Nikki can move back in after Victor goes missing/dead….(I still think they shd write him out by sending him to jail:goodvibes).

How wonderful would that be.... Nikki raising Ashley's kids... hmmmm... I could just see that driving little spiffy right on over the edge!!

Come on you guys….really?...Ashley?...more holier than thou than Nikki? Nikki “I used to be a stripper, til I got pregnant by a billionaire but YOURE the golddigger with an agenda” Newman? I’m not especially fond of either, really, but when she’s sane, Ashley’s usually the more capable woman isn’t she?

actually in the real world she'd most likely get half if there wasn't a prenup

that's why rich people get them so they only loose a few million instead of half their money.

look at Paul and Heather McCartney - he didn't have her sign one and lost - what 50million? not even close to half but a heck of a lot more then if he got her to sign a 1 or 2 mill/year

and ya he could go to court to prove her nuts but she has so much on him too with him bring in nut case MJ

i highly doubt she'd get the house in a real court case but ya never know and as far as the kids are concerned - judges don't like to take them away from their mothers unless they are endanger (look what Britney Spears did and still had custody until the judge had enough)

it could also be said that Ashley checked herself into the mental hospital to get better and has once again become functional again. so i doubt he'd be able to use that against her.

PLUS - he's been fired so he's going to run away with Nikki and until he meets up with some other chick sending Nikki running back home with her tail between her legs looking for some other rich guy to obsess over.

I agree, I think the writers should have sent him to jail....I mean come on already . I know he is the powerful VN but this goes beyond what he has ever done before.

I hate the idea of Billy using RS to go after Victor. On the other hand he is the only one. Not like the magazine has not done a nasty article on him before however.

So what about Ryder. Seems that he is the one pulling the strings as I thought with his mom...although not hard to figure that out with the stupid writers :lmao:

I think when all this is done Kevin will end up killing him protecting Michael and Lauren. He will look at Ryder with a broken heart and pull the trigger....and I agree that the teen that will be coming into this will most likely be Deacons son....but not till Ryder gets his.

By the way the baby picture that Deacon has is when the child was a baby. That was a loooooooooooong time ago, so must be the last time that Deacon has seen him. That he has been hiding him all this time.

• Sharon is at church, she's just finished meeting w/ her bereavement group. Sharon runs into Ashley whose there planning Faith's christening. Ashley and Sharon bond, as Ashley relates to Sharon's loss by remembering Robert. Later, Sharon comes by the ranch to give Ashley baby gifts for Faith. Sharon hears Faith crying • Chance learns from Mac that Billy is buying Restless Style and will be Chloe's new boss, Chance is upset that Chloe didn't tell him. Chance believing that things are going nowhere with Chloe decides to stop pursuing her. Meanwhile, Billy meets w/ Nick and Phyllis. The deal is finalized, Billy now owns Restless Style • Emily lashes out at Jack and Victor, Victor by the way continues to be his self righteous self. Paul lashes out at Victor. • Adam takes Sharon's advice, he tries to reach out to Victor. Victor tells Adam he has yet to earn his trust, this pisses Adam off.

Next - Billy complains to Chloe about Victor; Adam wants to tell Sharon something; Victor and Nikki show up at Faith's christening

Sean Kanan has been written off. Apparently, he will be killed off and his little boy will go live with Amber.

Just what we need-another death. :headache: Another character assassination. I wonder if this will be written in at B&B, since he is also Hope's father.

who's sean? i don't remember him on bb - mind you it's been years since i've seen it

who's sean? i don't remember him on bb - mind you it's been years since i've seen it

Deacon Sharp...same character as on Y&R.

He was with Amber, Bridget, Brooke and last I think Jackie before he disappeared.

He shares a daughter with Brooke and then has little Eric, who is his and Amber's cousin's son.

oh LOL - is that his real name???

hey - since when do we use real names - stop trying to confuse me people. how on earth can i keep up LOL

I was really hoping for one of my gl men in this part....More and more I don't think I'll be returning to Y&R.:sad1: Now there are rumors on the soapcentral boards that Nikki won't be returning from this trip with Victor either!

Boy Meets World vet hired as Y&R's single-named Tucker

by Dan J Kroll

The casting department at The Young and the Restless has found Genoa City's newest billionaire. Veteran actor William Russ, known to many for his work on the 1990s sitcom, Boy Meets World, has been cast as "Tucker." The initial casting call for the role prompted speculation that the CBS soap was trying to recast Victor Newman.

William Russ has landed the much-talked-about role of "Tucker" on The Young and the Restless. Though the show would eventually deny it, the casting call for the role has many wondering if Tucker was really a covert attempt to recast the role of Victor Newman.

Though his career spans more than 30 years, Russ may forever be best-known for his work on the former family-friendly sitcom, Boy Meets World. Russ played Alan Matthews, the main character's father, from 1993 through 2000.

In addition to his Boy Meets World role, Russ has appeared in numerous appearances in both film and television. He's also had the luxury of playing comedic and dramatic roles. Last year, Russ appeared as an assistant district attorney on ABC's Boston Legal. In the upcoming months, fans can expect to see Russ in no fewer than three feature films. Green Guys, 1,001 Ways to Enjoy the Missionary Position, and A Fork in the Road are all currently in post-production.

Soap viewers may remember Russ from his work as Burt McGowan on NBC's long-running soap, Another World. That 1978 role is Russ's only other foray into the world of daytime drama.

Officially, The Young and the Restless won't confirm that Russ has joined the show. Though soapcentral.com first heard rumblings of Russ's hiring last week, One Life to Live's Emmy-nominated Ilene Kristen (Roxy Balsom) confirmed Russ's hiring on the BlogTalkRadio show, Brandon's Buzz.

As previously reported, the casting call for Tucker set off a firestorm of controversy. The search for a big-name actor to take on the role first came to light as word of Eric Braeden's (Victor Newman) contract negotiation stalemate became public. With the show looking for a 40-to-50-something billionaire with a dark side, many speculated that the show might be attempting to recast Victor. CBS issued a statement explaining that Tucker was a new character, not a veiled attempt at a recast. Braeden, as you might imagine, wasn't amused.

"I just blew my top," Braeden told Soap Opera Digest of the casting call. "I brought over the producer and I said it they want to [mess] with me and intimidate me by issuing the rumor that they're trying to recast my part, go for it. I react to intimidation very badly."

For the record, there is nearly a ten-year age difference between Braeden and Russ, so the network's assertion that "Tucker" isn't a Victor recast in sheep's clothing certainly seems valid. However, with Braeden saying that he's washed his hands of Y&R the show could certainly revisit the recast decision at a later time.

Braeden will exit The Young and the Restless on November 2. A first airdate for Russ has not yet been announced, but fans should expect to see the actor sometime in late-November.

So who thinks Emily is gonna fall for Paul, then sleep with Jack? …then get killed by Patty for betraying her .:headache: (...gotta get rid of her somehow!!:sad2:...and since we're on a roll....).

Sad, but it seems to be the “go-to” storyline anymore! …on Y&R anyway!..

Great! A new character billionaire.... just what we needed so Glo would have someone new to go after!:rotfl2:

I totally agree, GD!! I just saw Wed’s episode. Ashley was pretty nonchalant (I might even say &!tchy) while she was talking abt changing the baby’s christening date without Victor’s consent or knowledge, so I can understand why he was upset…..but when he got really riled up and said he ddnt gv a &@mn about the Abbotts, yada, yada, VicspeakVicspeak ….I thought to myself “yea, we gotta rip Colleen’s heart from behind that hairy shield and kill him for good this time…”

I really like Billy, especially when he gets passionate abt protecting his sister. Kudos to the actor Billy Miller! I don’t watch AMC much, but it airs right after Y&R on SoapNet so I saw a few episodes when he played Annie’s brother. He was so menacing that I really hated him and couldn’t watch his scenes! He really scared me! What a contrast! He’s now becoming one of my favorite characters, and so is Chloe (altho I’d have smacked in her smart mouth pretty good by now). In spite of everything, I hope they get back together. Watching each of them show a vulnerable side is kinda sweet (and much more palatable than Amber and Daniel!...or Amber and anyone!).

BTW, wasn’t Chloe on AMC at one time as well?

Although I'm happy to have Ashley get a backbone- I'm not like her high and mighty holier than thou attitude. She is being such a bag about the baby "being an Abbott" that it makes me think deep down she knows that the baby is NOT an Abbott. I thought my heart would break for her when she found out that Faith is Sharon's, but now I don't think it will. I can't wait for Sharon and Nick to claim their daughter.

I don't think I'll miss Victor. Does Eric Braeden realize that he is NOT REALLY VICTOR NEWMAN?? That is a character on a daytime soap opera.....

i know some people are saying not in these words that victor, jill and nikki (last 2 did it) should suck it up and take the pay cut to stay on the show but i've got a question

i'm certainly not one to say that people who make hundreds of thousands or millions a year should get pay raises but that's how our countries work so that said

how many people here would take a pay cut at your work?

not to mention this news doesn't come at the end of your contract but in the middle

so basically your boss comes to you and says - i know we agreed and both signed a contract that i'll pay you $35k a year and i know it's not up until the end of next year but would you mind not getting your bonus this year and instead of waiting until next year to get a raise we're actually going to pay you $25k a year. sound good?

and yes people making thousands more then that should have more money saved but it still isn't right.

i don't know the ins and outs of the networks but who here doesn't sit back and say - gimme a break i bust my butt at work and my boss, prez of company, manager, vp - whoever does very little, plays golf, goes to "conferences" (ya i used to love that one) and gets the big bucks while i get nickled and dimed to death.

just wondering why so many (not just here) are down on these actors who want to get paid for not only the work they do but what was agreed to in the contract they signed.

Wait, Eric Braeden is really leaving?????????????????? He's not just going onto the limited rolls like Melody Thomas Scott and Tracey Bergman???

Crap, I fall away from this thread for a few weeks and I miss all the good behind the scenes stuff! :rotfl:
