Boats to DHS will stop at the S/D before getting to the park. Boats to Epcot will stop at BW on the way to the park.

From Epcot to DHS...boat goes to BW, YC/BC, S/D, DHS.
From DHS to Epcot.....S/D, YC/BC, BW, Epcot

If you need to go from the Beach Club or Yacht Club to the Dolphin the walk is only about five minutes. It will take much longer taking the Friendship boat.

I will be have a carry on with me besides I did this (walking to Dolphin) 2 yrs ago at the same time (summer) and by the time I got over there I was almost a sweaty mess. The walk is not as straightforward as you would think.

If the boat is at the dock and you want to take it go for it. We have never used the boats, they are so slow. The walk isn't really that bad. If you don't like going by the BC/YC because you have to go around the pool, go the Boardwalk way. Nothing to get in your way there and you just turn at Jellyrolls and go over the bridge.

I have walked from the Dolphn with 2 pieces of luggage, over to BC. It really wasn't bad at all. And I do it a lot going to BW as well.
The walk takes about 8 mins, you could spend that time just waiting for the boat to get to YC.
I would walk over, leaving the actual YC building at the very last door....rather than walking outside if that's what conerns you. Believe me, the boats aren't going to be 'cool'...the AC in them never seems to be working.

I agree that it's faster to walk because by the time you wait for the boats to arrive you could have already arrived at the Dolphin.
