Xyron & QVC

Okay, it appears that they were using a Xyron for all their demo's on QVC yesterday. Which Xyron did they use? I'm thinking maybe I should get one. Suggestions?

I think they must use a big one because they use it for everything! I have a 850, which is 8 1/2" wide. I used to use mine of everything (pictures, mats, etc.), but the refills are kind of expensive. I try to stick to little objects that are hard to get glue on. One way I really like to use it is to print a title out on copy paper, run it through the xyron (with repositionable adhesive) and stick it to cardstock. I then cut out the letters and peel the copy paper off. I then run the cut out letters back through the xyron and stick on the page.

For what I use it for, I really don't need one as big. I would probably get the 510 if I had to do it again. It's only 5 1/2" wide, which is plenty enough for those small embellishments and titles.

I didn't watch this weekend but are you talking about when Lisa is putting the pages together? I always thought she was using the dry bond. Just my two cents.

I love my Xyron. I HAD to have the 12" one. I am not able to buy refills anywhere near where I live, since no one sells the 12" refills. I can get them on E-Bay though.

If I was doing it over again, I would do the 8 1/2" one. For me I would just stock up on the refills at Michaels when they were on sale, or with a coupon.

I think they said they were using the Dry Bond. I ordered it, but it's on waitlist so not sure if I'll get it or not. I thought I'd give it a try - it looked easy enough!

I have 2 zyrons and I mudst say my LITTLE X I bought at Walmart for 7.97 gets the most use - the other one is covered with dust - can't justify the cost for most things...
