xx

She is adorable!!! I will most certainly keep her in my prayers.

Sounds like my neice....(forget what the condition was called)they ended up having surgery. Ever since the surgery she has been fine. She is almost 4 now.

It sounds like urinary reflux. Some children outgrow the condition with age, others need surgery. I have two friends whose daughters were diagnosed with reflux. One girl had to take antibiotics daily for a very long time, but did outgrow it. In her case, she was diagnosed early. The other girl didn't respond to the antibiotics and didn't outgrow it, so she had surgery. She started having "problems" when she was about 3, but wasn't diagnosed until she was 5.

I hope all goes well for your DD. :sunny:

So sorry, cati, do hope she does well. What a bummer!! :( She, and you too, remembered in my prayer.

I'll be thinking about you. Hope all goes well.

It's kidney reflux, my dd had it about 3months old and was on antiboctics until age 6 and she had surgery and doesn' t have it anymore. She is 10 yrs old now and doing great, i know it's not the best test for little ones to go through but in the long run it saved my dd kidneys. If you have any questions let me know.

My neice had this and the antibiotics finally worked for her. It was very scarey for a while though. Prayers for you and your dd! I hope you can get it fixed quickly!

Hope all goes well, you and your darling little one will be in my thoughts.

You know I am here for you! Please know you both will be in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything I can do, just let me know!!!!

My best friend just went through this with her DD. It is Kidney Reflux and depending on the severity of it, all you might have to do is give her a low dose of a specific antibiotic for a while and then re-test to see if the condition is getting better, or she has completely outgrown it. There is no need (unless it's very severe) to rush into surgery right away. This can usually be treeted with a daily low dose of antibiotics and then get retested. My friends DD is almost 6 and they said that she's to be on the antibiotics (which may or may not cause UTI's) until she's at least 7. At this time, she'll be retested and see how the condition is then. Her pediatric Urologist told her that 80% of kids with this condition outgrow it. If she does get a UTI while on the low dose antibiotic, she has to go off that one, get a stronger one to kill the UTI and then go back on the low dose. My friend was lucky she found a Pediatric Urologist that is non-effasive and didn't immediately suggest surgery. Her pediatrician was very happy with that, since this condition can easily be outgrown.

Sending along some hugs for you both  and some prayers. Will be thinking about you both. I'm sure everything will turn out fine.

Thank you for posting a pic. It is so nice to put a face with a prayer. Please let us know how it went. Hugs
