We are going Dec 26-27, I know reservations are a must at WDW this time of year or you will spend much of your time waiting for a table or waiting in line for food. How about Universal? Should I be worried about lunch and dinner reservations? We are staying at HRH for the Express Passes and plan to be at opening for the HP sections. Anything else to plan ahead?

I would make reservations at Mythos for lunch and any must do place on your list. You do have priority seating with your HRH stay but may still have to wait during such a busy time.

Single rider line is your friend on the nonexpress rides.

Have fun :flower1:

It depends where you want to eat. While reservations aren't needed at UO most of the year, we've been to UO that week and the crowds are crazy.

If you want to eat at Mythos on those days you will need a Res and if you want to eat at the more popular places for dinner there may be a long wait without a Res. The good news is you can probably makes those Ressies a week before or maybe even a few days. No need to decide where to eat 6 months in advance.

This is one of the times of year I would make a reservation if you really want to eat somewhere specific. But yes, you don't need to make them months out.

Both Potter restaurants are counter service, so no need to think about reservations for them.

I agree with PP..that week is the one week I would definitely make ressies if I had my heart set on dining in specific places.
