Xmas week Cruises

Hi. I have been on the Magic 1 week Western cruise almost 2 yrs ago, thinking of going on a cruise for Xmas week, my DD(27) & myself 47 (separated) Has anyone without small kids done the Xmas cruise before? too many kids? its Eastern, never done Eastern, just Western, Also checking out RCL Navigator of the Seas. & also a 9 day cruis RCL Radiance of the Seas-any suggestions/thoughts/experiences?? thanks Val

We did New Years week, and the ship was at capacity for kids, but we sure couldn't tell.

Val, my DH and I did the 10 day last year over Christmas. We had a great time! There were lots of kids on the ship but they are so busy in the clubs and labs that you really don't notice how many there are.

We did St. Martin and St. Thomas which are Eastern ports. There was also lots of special touches for the holiday season like caroling (one night by the children on the ship and another night by some of the crew), tree lighting in the atrium, and visits by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Hi Mary, your link isnt working, can you post it again please. Thanks for the info. My DD (27) told me yda that she doesnt want to be away for xmas-her DF would be too upset, so. i think that it will be a 12/31 cruise. I would love to go on a cruise myself the week before, but for a single, well its wayy too pricey for just 1!! Thanks Val

Yes, a huge party in the Attrium, that was broadcast into all the clubs and the cabins. Free champagne and noise makers, a big count down. Very impressive, best New Year's party we have ever been to.
