Xmas Deco's - Resort Sightseeing??

Good Morning!

As a "Non Park" or Rainy Day Activity I was thinking about visiting a few of the resorts to view the Christmas Decorations.

Which 3 resorts have the absolutely "Not To Be Missed" Decorations?

Do any of the resorts have any kind of activity such as Caroling, Tree Lighting Ceramonies, etc. etc.

Three in the MK area, are Poly, Contemporary and Grand Floridian, and don't forget WL.

Ones in the Epcot area are Boardwalk both the Yatch and Beach Clubs.

All are well worth the trip.

Take the bus to MK, hop on the monorail. Go visit the Polynesian, then the GF, then the Contemporary. Leave the CR, and take the boat over to WL. That one is incredible. Back to MK and grab a bus to Boardwalk. Check that one out, visit Yacht/Beach Clubs. That's exactly what my dd and I did on a rainy Sunday last Dec. Then you can take a bus back to MK or walk on over to MGM and grab a bus there.

We stayed there a few years ago over the holidays, and it was magical. Very Dickensian, and romantic -- both inside and outside. The tree is NOT to be believed, and they have a life sized gingerbread house in the main lobby where they sell - -what else? -- gingerbread cookies!

I'd suggest calling the GF at some point to find out when they are doing anything special.

When we were there, they were roasting chestnuts outside, by the main entrance, while inside on some nights they had bell-ringers playing! Delightful.

Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian top my "not to be missed" list. I haven't checked out many of the Epcot resorts, bu that's what this December's trip is for.

I would say the following are not to be missed:

Wilderness Lodge
Grand Floridian
Boardwalk

I would also recommend popping over to the Yacht & Beach Clubs while you are there, since their decorations are also beautiful.

WL and GF. Haven't seen AKL yet, but will this year ----- it sounds interesting. BW and BC/YC were also very nice, but WL and GF are showstoppers. It depends on how much touring you want to do.
