Xmas/Dec at Universal....

Have been to Disney in December/Xmas but have never been to Universal at this time so don't know what to expect. What are the resorts like? What special events do they have at the parks? Fireworks, party, parades?!
Please help!

The only hotel I have visited during the Holidays was the Royal Pacific Resort and it had very nice decorations in the lobby.
