Xmas and New Years

We are going during Xmas an New Years this year! Dec 23- Jan 2! Staying at orleans riverside we were here on New years week last yr an this year we decided to do both Xmas an New Years i plan on booking FP+ an dining as soon as its available! We took new years eve last yr as are day away from the parks an plan on doint it again this year along with prolly xmas or xmas eve havnt decided yet! Any other Advice or Tips anybody would like to throw in!

Sounds like fun! I know you'll get replies saying they would never, ever in a million and two years do that week, but we enjoyed it and planned to do every other year before life interrupted with other plans. You need to pack your patience, plan to wait in line, and reserve/book things to get you out of lines where you can (FastPass+, dessert parties, Candlelight Processional, dinners). The parks are open extended hours and are operating at full capacity (both sides of rides with two sides are typically running), and the weather is cool enough that we were able to enjoy a much longer day than we do in hotter weather.

Yes we did New Years eve last yr an managed it ok! Ya it was crazy nuts but we stuck to our touring plan! Rope drop everymorning an took advantage of EMH an had dinner reservations everynight!

We did 12/30 at Magic Kingdom last year, and NYE at Epcot. We booked three table service meals each day to rest, and stayed in the park the whole day.

I'd never do it again; at least not any time soon. It's one of those things you want to do once, like the Macy's parade in NYC. Once was enough for me.

We also did 12/30 at MK last yr! We did EMH that morning an stayed til 3pm (1-3 was at tom sawyer island) then went back to resort an came back around 10pm for fireworks an stayed til 3am that night! Prolly the best night of are trip!
