Hi
We spent a week in Cancun in January and loved it. If possible do the dolphin swim it was great. The underwater cavern swim was pretty chilly and we really didn't see any pretty fish here but do at least one leg of it for the experience. My husband snorkled in the lagoon and said it was incredible teh amount of fish he saw. We spent all day and really loved the whole park. We were not disappointed at all. Let me know if yoyu have any questions.

Hi, we sail on 4/24 to Cozumel and plan to go to Xcaret on our own (Disney prices are very fair for adults, okay for older children and a rip-off for young children) since we have a 2 and 4 yr. old. We'll post about it when we get home. We have planned to go on our own. Walk a few blocks to the ferry, then take the ferry, and then a cab the rest of the way. If you're interested in hearing about our experience and opinions, be sure you post (or give this one a bump) some time around May first....

WE sailed on the Celebrity Mercury and took an excursion to Xcaret. Actually, the cruise was diverted and only docked at Xcaret. We had a wondful time. It was like a wonderland. Just beware of one thing... if you use US Dollars, they will give you cash back in Peso's(Mexican $$, I think it is Peso's) so you HAVE to buy something there with your change. We did the cave snorkeling and just hung out by the beach with a few innertubes. Beautiful day.

Thanks for info on XCARET!:earsgirl:

How long do you actually have in the Park?

Enough time to do a few different activities?

Shower/changing facilities?

I love Xcaret! DH and I have been there 3 times but we have gone for the whole day since we were visiting Mexico for a week each time. I really think you need two days to see it all now! There is so much. Two underground rivers to snorkel through, a beach, awesome snorkel area, bird avairy, jaguars, orchard farm, butterfly pavilion, museam, aquarium, horseback riding, 2 dolphin swim areas, viewing tower (like Sea World), several restaurants, snuba, etc... The night show is amazing but starts around 8pm. Too bad cruise passangers have to pay full price but miss the whole night show! It is really beautiful there.
