Can anyone give me any information on the Xbox? I'm asking for the:
1.Xbox 360 Pro
2.Xbox Live Gold Subscription
3.Ethernet Cable
4.Xbox Wireless Controller

is that good enough (to play live, that is)? also, what comes with the 360pro, and also any game recommendations? thanks!

That sounds good to play live.
My brother is addicted to xbox 360...
I would not recommend halo 3 or call of duty 4, I personally can't stand them and it sometimes gets people addicted.
Hopefully, that will not happen to you!

What kind of videogames are you into? (Racing, fighting, etc.)

I'm only getting it because my friends are really into it ;). I'll probably end up getting call of duty4+halo, but i probably won't play it often because i have a lot of extracurriculers.i'm also into racing games/rpgs.

Oh thank god!
As you can see, I'm sorta anti-xbox 360. But since you have other things in life, you obviously will maintain it. :)

I really like those drifting games on the 360. No idea what it's called. Maybe like fast and the furious drift? It was so much fun to play!

yeah, haha. right now homework and saxophone take up all my time. for example this is tomorrow's schedule for me:
1.school 7am-2pm
2.saxophone sectionals 2pm-3:30pm
3.homework 3:45-5:45
4.jazzband rehearsals 6-9:30

...i don't know how xbox fits in there, but whatever ;)

I am pretty sure that is enough. I don't know if its just my brother, but he goes through the controllers[especially wireless frequently. Like he got the system last christmas, and I swear he has gotten about 10 different controllers. Also since you are playing live, I recommend the headset[I don't know if that comes with the controller, I think sometimes it does].

& please please please don't get addicted. lol. My brother is, and it is a pain to ask him to do anything. Like he is extremly smart, was in the gifted program all through elementry/middle school, but he makes straight C's at school because he simply does not do his work and does not care. :[. My parents have to pretty much beat him with a stick to get him off the stupid thing. So yeah, its not cool.

I will say I do play it occasionally, but I am not addicted and I find it fun when I do play. :]

Yeah, for a ton of my friends, it like consumes their lives. I mean, it's cool and all as a hobby, but like it can't get in the way of things that are more important (school, homework, chores, sleep, etc.)

i dont think that is enough unless you already have a wireless router for your computer to plug the ethernet cable into. And watch it is pretty addicting when i first got mine I came home from basketball blew off my homework and played it for about 6 hours straight.

ya, i have the router. i'd be getting mine on christmas, so, i wouldn't be blowing off any other things i might have to do.

The new things for the xbox 360 are Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty 5.

Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 are the first two games i got when i first got my xbox and idk i guess i dont really play halo that much more CoD4.

Don't get addicted either, i did and my grades slipped so now ive pretty much grounded myself from it haha to raise them.

And if you want a wireless controller i suggest getting a play and charge kit cause the controllers run the batteries fast!

Does the router need to be in your room for the 360?

I think WII is the best! I mean does Xbox or PS3 have good family and and good first person shooters? Not really does the Xbox and PS3 have wireless motion control? Nope do they have a long list of classic games? Nope I could go on for a long time! Plus you have to pay to use the wi-fi in the games!

It sucks.
PS3 is better, nuff said.

I have to say I disagree at the moment. I am sure it has better graphics and what not, but at the moment XBox 360 has a much wider variety of games. I mean I am not a hardcore gamer at all but my brother got the choice last christmas of which one he wanted. Even though the PS3 was newer, he still picked the Xbox over that because he said he liked Xbox's games better. I liked his pick because I have bought a lot of games for me, that were not available through the PS3.

:confused3 I guess its just a matter of opinion. I would never say either one of them sucked though.

Um what about Call of Duty and Gears of War?..Halo too
I believe you can buy them in the arcade.

for a wired connection, i'd say yes (just out of convenience)
for a wireless connection, no.

I'm using the wired connection because it's 20ft. away, and in the same room, and i don't want to have to buy the $100 wifi adapter for 360, and i'd rather just buy the $30 ethernet cable.
It sucks.

360 outsold the PS3, and has a bigger and better online experience.

I have all three systems while there all good i play xbox 360 way more than the other 2 the only time i play PS3 is for Madden or most sports games.

I am talking about the WII here not the PS3 but I do agree it is a matter of opinion:banana:

i have a wii also, i got it january 2006. i rarely ever play it except for parties and stuff. i'm looking for more of a "hardcore gaming system", not to sound like a nerd, lol.
