My son got Madden 10 for his xbox 360 (20GB purchased Nov 2007).

He has been getting the red "Ring of Death", Q1 and Q3, indicating that it is overheating.

The system will let him play for 5 to 10 minutes and then becomes overheated, the system turns itself off and the Q1 and Q3 red lights come on.
This only occurs when playing Madden, he has been able to play other games this weekend without this happening.

Do you think this is a hardware problem?
Is it a faulty Madden game?
Is the 20 GB not big enough for the Madden 10 game?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :flower3:

20 GB should be fine but the fact that his system got red ring, means his console his done. Send it to microsoft, and they'll repair it for free and get it back to in about a month or so. You can use the towel trick (google it if you want to know how to use it) but that voids the warranty and you would have to pay $100 in order for Microsoft to fix the system afterwards. Also, the towel trick is only a temporary fix and eventually the system will go red ring again.

Thanks for the info RBF419! :thumbsup2

He bought the extended warranty through Best Buy, so we'll contact them.
