Dave’s would come out pretty; mine would look like smooshed goose poo.
We arrived at the park later in the morning and headed straight for The Land and Soarin fast passes. The return time was for a couple hours later but that was ok because we were planning on going on the Behind the Seeds tour at 11:15.
I choose this tour because it was something that I had never done before and I always try to find something new to experience. Also, Dave has a couple of green thumbs and I thought he might find it interesting. Plus its fairly short and inexpensive, so why not?! I have to say, I did enjoy it quite a bit. It made me want to go home and start growing Mickey shaped vegetables! (On second thought, Ill leave that to Dave ) If youre thinking about doing the trip and you are interested in gardening, Id recommend it.
We poked around the shops until it was time to check in at the Rose and Crown. There was still going to be a bit of a wait so Dave grabbed a beer, I got an iced tea and we settled in on the curb across from the pub. It ended up being the best place to people watch- ever! Earlier in the day, Alice and the Mad Hatter had chosen the pavement in that spot as the perfect place to draw a hopscotch course. I am now convinced that hopscotch is the way to world unity! Is seems that no one can resist a hopscotch course.
I did indeed have the steak and fish. I believe Janet had pot roast, but I could be wrong. The blue drink was the Year of a Million Dreams-tini, or something like that. I also had a "half and half" (half Harp lager, half Guinness) that I enjoyed very much. For dessert I couldn't decide between the Chocolate Guinness Torte and sticky toffee pudding, so I asked our server what she recommended. She replied "Ooh, sticky toffee pudding is my favorite!", so I gave it a try. Now I have a new favorite dessert.I believe Dave had the steak and fish which he enjoyed very much. I think I had some sort of a beef or lamb stew.
I do know that I had a blue cocktail with a blue light-up cube in it!
And we enjoyed our desserts. I think I had an apple crumble thing. Davey had the sticky toffee pudding which he proclaimed to be the best dessert in the world, ever!
No problem.Very cool pictures from the tour Dave. Thank you for sharing them!!
Janet's a much better writer than I am, I have no problem leaving the trip reports to her. I'll chime in now and then if I have something to add.Great report - looking forward to more!
Dave had a Halloween-themed t-shirt to wear so he didnt need as much time to get ready as me. We are big Halloween fans so we were very eager to go to this party.
We stopped at the food court for cheesecake to take back to the room.I dont recall if we had dessert Im sure Dave will chime in if we did. I think instead we got a sweet snack back at the hotel.
