I booked through AAA in my area, for the 2nd year in a row with the same TA - and again she was great. I called her on the phone last year and this to have her make my reservations and she promptly called me with the details. Last year we were at Sports, then she switched us to POP, as requested. This year she switched us from POP to ASMu with no problems. She had everything ready in short order for me when I went to pay my deposit, and even made my dining reservations for me when she called in the payment to Disney. Last year and this the 'free dining' was/is clearly listed on my prelim paperwork. She is the best.

Sorry you are not having a very pleasing experience, hopefully it will get better.

It is sad but AAA agents just aren't the same everywhere to me. To me it depends on if you have a good agent that really helps or one who just wants the booking and doesn't do anything else.
I have AAA and at the office near me, there is a good agent who really trys to help and a bad one who just wants the booking and then after that just pushes everything else off on the customer.
I wish they were all the same but there not. Sounds like you will need to call back and be nice but frank with them and ask why you where helped at 1st and now that the booking is made they are too busy??? Just keep trying out different agents until you find one you like and don't wast your time on the ones that just want booking on their record and nothing else.
Good luck!!

Have your agent call Disney guest relations and have them apply the free dining. If the agent told you you were getting fee dining then have them fix it.

What about booking your trip yourself online, or with Disney on the phone. Then you can switch your ressie to AAA, and get the perks??

While it is an unfortunate oversite, it isn't a "AAA" problem. It is a human problem. Though the human you were dealing with works for AAA. You could have the same problem with Carlson Travel, American Express Travel, Travel Agents International or any other travel agency you can think of.

People make mistakes and it can be fixed. Its an unfortunate part of being a human being.

Parking pass? If you are staying on site, you can park for free at any of the parks. I usally do use a TA, I use to do work in the travel buisness before I had my son. This time I booked with Disney. I do have a great TA that I use. I dont like AAA. I applied for a job with them, and felt they are all about the selling.

I booked a free dining package through AAA. The reason I went through AAA is because I wanted the parking pass, and other perks. Well, 2 weeks later, no confirmation. I had to call for it. When it arrived(yesterday) it says " Magic your way package". I don;t see any mention of free dining. Did anyone receive a confirmation with AAA free dining yet? I called 2 triple A offices to check, they are "busy with a customer". What am I? No return phone call yet. Today my resort is available online. ( before it was not). AGGGGhhhh.

As far as getting your AAA Diamond Parking Pass, I got mine right before my trip- actually when I got all my documents that Disney sent to AAA then they DHL'd to me :thumbsup2

sorry for your experience....my AAA agent is awesome, although I have only used him for cruises...I book our rooms myself. And our free dining package has no mention of free anywhere....glad you got that straightened out though.

Our trip is booked through AAA, but our agent seems to give out wrong information. We booked a land/sea cruise. She told us we couldn't reserve any excursions until we boarded the ship, but I found you could book them online.
I'm trying to get the preferred parking pass, because I'm traveling with 3 small kids (ages 1, 2 , and 4), and I thought it might be easier to drive than deal with the 3 of them, plus my double stroller, diaper bag, etc on the busses. She told us, that you can't park close, that there is one giant parking lot for all of the parks. I know that is not true, I've been to Disney before, when I was in college. I feel like our AAA agent should go on one of these trips so she can learn a little bit about them. I still haven't gotten the parking pass, and we leave in one week. I'm going to call again tomorrow.

I'm sorry to say I've been an AAA member since 1985 and I have yet to get a decent Disneyworld deal from them. They have never been any better than the price I find at Disneyworld online. Too bad. It also seems the agents don't know anything about what's going on at Disney. I find more out on these boards than anywhere else!
