x-post: children's menu changes

Thanks for the link - at least they are offering some healthy choices now! Now, why didn't they do this 5 years ago, when my youngest DD was a picky eater? She'd love the choices they have now, as she's a "veggie-tarian" ;)

I think its great that they are offering more healthy choices for the kids.

Ugh. This will make traveling more difficult for us. He does not do fresh fruit and veggies!

Sounds like more horrible changes wrought by the DDP, to keep expenses down.

I haven't read the whole thread but read a bunch when it first started. My biggest issue is having the same darn menu at every restaurant. Seems like my kiddos would get bored. But, I'm all for healthier options for my kids. I was actually worried about them eating terribly the entire time we were there. I don't think fresh fruits and veggies are saving anyone money, are they?

The fruit & veggies are just apple slices, carrots, and celery, with a dip. pretty cheap. And it's the lack of variety that I am worried about. Some of the options that were taken away at the TS restaurants didn't seem all that unhealthy to me.

Look on the bright side - maybe Mickey Mouse can talk your child into eating some healthy fruit and veggies!

We just returned, and I must admit that it was difficult finding things for both of my kids to eat. One is very picky and the other will eat more fruits and veggies. They were very tired of eating the same thing everyday. I think it's great to offer healthy items, but they need to offer something for those that don't eat fresh fruit and veggies. Also, more selections that just chicken would be nice.

Why can't they offer a child's portion of an adult meal so that kids can actually get some decent veggies. Nothing against carrots and celery but who wants to eat them for dinner every night. Are they raw?

I guess I'm glad we are eating buffets for ts so that we can get some decent variety.
