Oh darn !!!!!... I was hoping that the Goodyear would be the furthest west... but I see Boise is further west... almost into Beaver country

It's a totally overhyped & unholy cross between The Pioneer Woman, Hobby Lobby and Cracker Barrel with a traveling carnival. If a Live, Laugh, Love sign was a physical place...It's the new South of the Border.

We used to drive from NJ to FL a lot when I was a kid, so I was pretty familiar with it. Mind you, I thought their billboards were hysterical, so whatever cheesy humor goes with either of these establishments is right up my alley.

Clean restrooms, and We enjoy the pulled pork sandwiches! But yes, you have to eat in your car.

I'm honestly shocked at the Bucc-ee's hate! We have one around 15 miles from my house that we stop at any time we head up I75. I think their BBQ is fine, not excellent but good for a gas station. Their turkey club is really good as is their chicken salad on croissant. I like all of their breakfast and other burritos. Their made in house sweet coated pecans, almonds, and cashews are delicious. I always have to get a banana and chocolate pudding cup too. Their soft drinks are cheap and their wall of jerky and candy is fun to shop. And, as others said, the bathrooms are amazing!

There aren't any. Although their brisket sandwich is an E ticket price.

I have never heard of the icon. 7 new locations this year and one in Arizona.... from what I have read... looks to be a ....good year.... for Western tourists

It's a giant sized gas station. Nothing more. They do have fresh food though in addition to the pre made stuff. They make brisket fresh and cut it up. They make other food fresh too. On the gas station food scale, it's good, if pricey. The food can genuinely compete with fast food rather than just grab n go. But they do have some grab n go food too. It also has a store full of themed merchandise. They have tons of flavors of Jerky, at inflated prices and tons of snacks. That's it really. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to one. I'm still going to stop at the cheapest gas station and fill up. As for the other stuff, I'll just buy my snacks and drinks at the costco before I leave. Cheaper. I will give them one thing though. Their bathrooms are super clean and have real doors on them. I've never seen a dirty bathroom at any Buc-ees. I can't say the same for gas stations or for rest stops. I've seen some super clean ones, and I've seen some trashed ones.

* Merchandise (quite a bit actually, not all branded)
* Lots of Jerky flavors
* Tons of Snacks

Yup, just like every other gas station.

FWIW, they have some of the lowest gas prices around me at least...

keep in mind I'm typing as I eat my recently acquired Bucc-ee's snacks and for their Easter Bunny Buccee.

Yes folks say it's a destination by itself. Yes it's a gas station. 50 - 100 pumps depending on the location. Made to order food - pulled pork, brisket, grab & go section - chicken fingers, burritos, fudge, bakery, candy wall, jerky wall, hot sauce, beaver nuggets. Regular convenience drinks but they also have their own fountain, slushy and coffee drink wall.
Then there's all their store merch - camping, housewares, kitchen, baby, women's clothing, men's clothing, outdoor decor including blow up Buccee. All the things someone could ask for. One could spend over an hour looking at everything in the whole stores. Unless one experiences it, it's hard to understand the whole appeal.

The restrooms are so clean and with the full door. In the locations we've gone to there's at least 25 stalls so barely ever a line. Someone is always in there cleaning.

We love it for their custom food and the bathrooms. When we go to this one convention we've driven the 2 hours on our early evening night. If a rumored one comes that would be 1.5 hour away I do wonder how often we'd go but still may be seasonally and not just the 2x when we go to the convention.
Traveling and we see one now we'll likely stop but if it's down another highway won't be going way out of the way for it.

Lots of people but the worst with a huge line getting there and leaving was the Seaverville, TN at noon. Avoid that time and it'll be better. We've been to 3 locations so far though.

Well my neighbor who informed me about the Good Year a coming is making plans to haul his trailer so that he can eat fresh and clean... it's about a 4 hour drive

well I guess they do have limitations. I haven't seen much of the regular travel games that regular travel stops have. On the snacks website I see they have some games but no map. It's still possible but I haven't seen one there.

....fill in the Buc-ees you have visited.... once they head west out of Boise.... Oregonians are going to be crazy about the theme....and poor beaver fans need some type of focus

From what I've seen, Bucees locations tend to be busy nightmares when they first open. That settles down a lot given time.

They have a zillion gas pumps, lots of parking and a massive variety of snacks and drinks. Plus the clean bathrooms of course. I like them but they are really just stores.
