X-Men Movies ?

We haven't seen any of the X-Men movies yet, so I want to put the first one on hold at the library. However, I can't figure out which one is first. One of them says 1.5 Is that it? Why the .5?

Not sure what the .5 is but that was only on the most recent DVD release. But yes, that is the first one. In theaters it was just called X-Men. In order of release they are:

X-Men (Aka X-men 1.5 or X-Men the movie)
X2: X-Men United
X-Men The Last Stand
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (now in Theaters)


As the name implies the one in theaters now is the prequel to the first one.

X-Men 1.5 just has some extra footage if I remember right.

IIRC, the first DVD release of X-men was simply "X Men". Some months later, when X2 was on the way (and the previews were being shown), they put out X-Men 1.5, which had some additional footage and some teaser stuff for the second movie.
