A friend has just offered to possibly book us a room at a Wyndham time share. She said there is now one on property at Disney.

We are going over Spring Break (March 12-19) and it looks like there is no availability from the regular website for renting...but will an owner be able to rent for that week?

Is there another place she could be talking about besides Wyndham Bonnet Creek? And if Wyndham Bonnet Creek is full, would she have another option to rent?

And what are the chances, at this point, of getting one with a roll in shower? She said they usually get a 3 BR.

Also...what are the transportation options?
We will have TWO wheelchairs with us - but one person can transfer and we can store her wheelchair - the other wheelchair is a power wheelchair and she can't transfer. Would we even be able to use their transportation?

TIA for any information you can provide! :flower3:

I usually stay onsite...so I am offsite clueless!

The Wyndham Bonnet Creek is NOT on Disney property, but it is so close that it seems like it is. We overlooked the Epcot ball from our balcony there.

If you're talking about next Spring break, it's probably too late unless a cancellation comes up. People book peak times well in advance.

We didn't use their transportation or need the handicapped shower, so I can't help with those questions. We find it much more convenient to use our own car.

You should call the resort about the wheelchair issue. I have a sneaking suspicion that it won't go smoothly, but I can't say for sure. I've never actually watched the Bonnet Creek buses in action.

In any event, while there is some inventory for that week, the accessible rooms appear to be completely booked. Sorry about that. However, as much as I enjoyed my Bonnet stay, if I were traveling with a party member (or two) with mobility issues, I would probably stay in an honest-to-god Disney resort. They just do a fantastic job with mobility (and other) disabilities. A friend of mine is in a power scooter on a daily basis, and they have nothing but the highest praise for their Disney stays---they do very well by them.

I have had AWESOME luck and Disney service that is top notch each time we have stayed there! Twice with severe mobility challenged guests.

But I feel crazy to tell this person...uh, nope...we don't want the free room for 7 nights?!?! Free 3 rooms, really.

As it is, we will have to buy two POP rooms...so I guess we will just wait and see if they have any availability.

Unfortunately the folks I am traveling with are not on "Disney" time...i.e. - I need to know NOW...so I can plan this trip! :rotfl::surfweb::surfweb:

Thank you so much for your help!!

Unless your friend has *already* reserved a 3BR accessible room for those dates, it's too late.
