Following a post - about the Wyndham being 'cheaper' I scheduled a spa day.
I had a massage, golden door facial and a regular pedicure scheduled. The massage was wonderful ... I was pleased with the swedish technique. I was skittish to let someone I did not know do deep tissue.
The facial was interesting. I went into a room with a sliding glass door that the curtian was open. I asked the woman performing the service and she said no one could see in - for me to get on the table.
I enjoyed the heated wax on my hands and feet - it felt wonderful. But in the middle of the facial - the technician left the room for like 10 minutes. I heard the door open - so i moved the eye thing and realized I was in the room alone. Noticed the time on the clock. When she came in - and removed the facial product from my face I noticed the time again - 10 minutes - minus some time to do the treatment removal.
I have had facials at a beauty school - they do an upper body massage - not this woman - she LEFT the room.
Then off to the Pedi room. The chair was comfortable - but my technician seemed much more interested in watching the other technician in the room than paying attention to my feet - maybe she was in training but had no nametag that identified this.
I am unhappy with the pedi results - it has been 4 days and the nailpolish on my toes has chipped and peeled. I dont know what was not done or done wrong but pedi nail polish usually lasts forever !!!
The facility was nice - but the robes were funky. I am pooh sized and the did not have a robe to fit me - I had to wear my pants around the spa. Other skinny women I saw looked like they were drowning in their robes.
And the robe had a funny smell - like it had been sitting on the shelf ....
Overall - I would not go back to the Wyndham
