Not sure if the threads are still out there, but there was a LOT of information a couple of years ago here on the DIS boards. At the time you could get a 2 bedroom for under $100 on Hotel Kingdom and it was kind of the Cypress Pointe, as far as popularity, of it's day.
The grounds are fabulous and we were very pleased with the unit as well. Nicely appointed, well maintained, and lots of room. In fact, I believe the 2 bedroom is more than 1,000 sq ft which is larger then the living area of our first house. I consider this to be a "deluxe" resort, comparable to the Disney home away from home vacation club units.
Another thing we liked was a very short drive to the Disney gate, down 192 and then to the left, maybe a mile or two.
A couple of things we didn't like. Very large, although there were a couple of quiet pools, the main pool was a long walk from from our unit. Also, there aren't nice walking paths to the main pool, just the main road of the development.
No real gift shop with souvenir type merchandise, just a golf pro shop.
No restaurant, at least at that time, just a bar/lounge that served some food. There is a pool bar at the main pool that had pretty good food.
Also, if you have any video game age kids, the arcade is a couple of machines stuck in a hallway.
Little to no grounds or pool theming except for the fact that's it's a country club.
Overall, for the price, we thought the unit was great, but were not as happy with the rest of the resort.
