MY husband and I are visiting WDW and staying at the Wyndham Palace this October, and we're really excited! I'd like to hear about some experiences there. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

We stayed there one night before our Disney on-site time began because we got it really cheap through priceline. It was a very nice resort, although most of it we saw at night. The room was nice, not big though, and not magical at all. But the grounds were lovely and the lobby was lovely, especially considering it's sitting right on the "strip" of international drive.

I stayed here in November 1996 with a convention group. It was a very pretty hotel, the rooms were nice, with huge closets! We only ever ate breakfast in a restaurant there (we ate other meals at the hotel, but they were with the convention), but breakfast was always good. The transportation wasn't bad, the only time we really had to wait was returning from Epcot after closing when we waited about 30 minutes. It actually might have been less, but by that time we were freezing since it was shorts/t-shirts weather during the day but by 9:30pm you definitely needed pants and a jacket. It was great to be so close to Downtown Disney though, especially since if you want to eat at another resort you can grab a bus directly from there or take a resort bus to DTD if you're not at a park and walk back from there. have a great trip!

I have stayed there several times. This hotel is actually just across the street from DTD (not on International Drive, that is the other Wyndam) I really like it. The pool is nice. The spa is suppose to be excellent, but I have never tried it.

I stayed there last year in May ... I thought the hotel and rooms were okay. The rooms are really big but not very soundproof! My boyfriend and I are not morning people and we could hear kids running up and down and yelling in the hallways early in the morning. I thought the check-in staff were okay... nothing special, they weren't really helpful when I ran into a problem with the WBR (By-Request) program. The pool is very nice, I found it was very quiet. I also like that the hotel is a 5 minute walk from DTD ... it makes it very easy to get your shopping done.

Hi,

I took my Mom to Disney for Mother's Day, and I also stayed their in May at the Wyndham. Let me just say this...it's the only Downtown Disney resort I would stay at. No it's not a Disney themed resort, but it is very nice and I would definitly stay their again. I am pretty much a deluxe Disney resort person myself.

We had a 1 bedroom suite and it was very spacious, clean and pretty quiet too! The building I was in had a glass elevators and marble floor at the elavators and two seperate quiet lounge areas (one with a tv near the entrance to the building). It has a great pool that has a waterfall and under that waterfall in a covered area is I believe the hot tub (we didn't go swimming) and they had a quiet pool too. The Outback Restaurant (not the local one your thinking of) is very good and it had kind of a tropical feel (very themed) you should check it out. The resort is litterally right across the street from Downtown Disney and so it was very convient too!

Have a fun and enjoy the Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa!
