I can't decide between the two. For some strange reason, I really want to stay at either of these hotels.. We are spending the 1st 4 nites at HRH club level and I wanted to be able to spread out after that. I have reserved suites at both but I haven't seen any reviews on the suites. The Wyndham is an island view suite and includes breakfast and 2 adult PHP's for a total of $1672.00 and the HRP is an executve suite which includes breakfast for $750.36.. I know there are less expensive suite options but this is where we have narrowed it down. Any opinions? Thanks, Laura

I have just made reservations for the Royal Plaza for January. I have not stayed there in 11 years, but I hear it is really nice. Last year we stayed at the Wyndham and we hated it. We had so many problems I won't even get in to it. We were actually offered a free return stay for 5 days there and did not take them up on the offer. In other words I would't even go back for free, I have been a Wyndham By Request Member since it began and have only had this problem at this particular hotel. Hope this helps.

We stayed in a suite in their Island building. It was nice and spacious - had 2 queen beds in the bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. It also had 1 full bath and a half bath, and a mini-kitchen. The suite seemed about twice as big on a square foot basis as the Holiday Inn Family Suites where we stayed 3 years ago. I was pleased considering we got this on a $65 Priceline bid (they apparently upgraded us to a suite because we joined Wyndham by Request - I'm assuming that's the reason - I didn't question our good fortune!).

On the negative side - it seemed in need of updating. Some of the furnishings were quite worn, and I was afraid the shower door was going to fall off while we were there.

The bus service to the parks was good, and it was just a 5-minute walk to Downtown Disney.

I'd stay there again on a Priceline deal, but not for full price.
