Has anyone ever stayed at this resort?? I booked it as a last minute trip through site 59, but now I am reading horrible reviews about it. I am not a picky person, but I can't stand it when my room smells musty and dirty. I also read that it is very noisy due to the traffic on International. I am thinking of booking a back up either at Residence suites by Sea World or Radisson Resort Parkway. We have no kids and will be spending most of our time at Unviersal and Sea World.

I don't know what to do! Please help with an opinion if you have stayed here!!

Thanks again!!

Sorry - I don't know the answer, but can tell you that you need to post this on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions Board. Since it's not a Disney resort, you'll get more experts (and answers) there.

Good luck!

DON'T DO IT! We were there the first 3 days in March and it was awful! The grounds are nice, but the rooms smelled of mildew, the ceilings had water stains, the carpets were worn, the bedspreads stained and this was in the "Better" room that we were moved to after the first one was even worse. YUCK!

We also stayed there in a jr. suite and had to be moved because the smell was bad and the people above us had lead feet. You could hear everything! So, we asked to be moved upstairs as well and our room was better than satisfactory.... but we got it through Hotwire (or Priceline, one) for about $25/night so that also was a factor. If we had paid the rack rate of $200/night I would have died. It is not a resort even though they still charged a resort fee of $8/night. I would not be surprised if Wyndham didn't sell this property. It is not up to their normal standards. (We are also Wyndham-By-Request members and have a few to compare them to...)

I stayed here in March 2002 and had a very clean quiet room in building 13 I believe. It was around the corner from I-drive and that probably helped with lowering the noise. I paid $30 thru priceline, and thought the grounds and pools were lovely.

Another NO vote here!

We stayed there 1 night through priceline last summer and it was a DUMP!

Stains all over the floor, mold in the bathroom, and no lid for the toilet! The a/c had 2 settings, Off and Artic freeze! I was afraid to put my luggage on the floor for what might climb into it, lol!

Yuck!

I've heard they do have some nice rooms, but I would never stay there again and risk getting one of the dumpy rooms!

I stayed there this month and it was lovely. I had none of the encounters the other posters had here, and to tell you the truth, I'm very surprised.

I bid and won this hotel for $38 for the two days before my actual trip because I wanted to arrive earlier for a DIS Meet. It was a very last minute try so I was surprised that I got a room at all.

I had a beautiful, clean room in building 4. The bellman took us on a little tour of the grounds and they were beautiful. We didn't take advantage of anything the hotel offered because we stayed at the parks most of the time and moved to the Royal Pacific afterwards.

I found no problems at all for this hotel.

Thank you all so much for your replies! I got a great rate for Royal Pacific in Universal, so I have decided to stay there just to be safe. I had a horrible experience in a New York hotel a few months ago and it really ruined our trip so I am paranoid! I will be posting a trip report when I return!

I can't wait to leave!!!

Thanks again!
