I found this tour and decided 'yes' we would do it then read a bit further and it said only children 8 years and over. How strict are they with ages, do they ask for ID. DD, who will have just turned 7, even said to me 'Mumma, we will just tell them I am 8'

DD is well behaved child and would not whinge or whine or act up.

Worth the risk?

The 8 and over applies to the Warner Brothers tour, I am guessing because it is on a working set they have safety things to consider and have it so only 8 and over can go on the studio tours.

I don't know how strict they would be with ID, I can't recall when I went if they asked to see our ID or not

I suppose you would just need to be prepared to be turned away.

On the Warner Bros studio Tour website it only mentions adults have to show a government issued I.D , maybe email the tour company or email Warner Brothers studio and ask if you need to provide a I.D for your child because then if you don't you might be able to get away with just saying she is 8 .
