Were you from PA becuse that exact scenario happened near here a few years back on Rt 22? Very tragic prank gone wrong.

I thought of that too. Absolutely horrible.

OP, I think you handled it in exactly the right way. Much worse could have happened if you did not make the phone call.

I probably would have done the same thing but would have felt terrible doing it. I know that in our school it would mean immediate suspension. You can't even high five another kid in the school because that is considered touching and no touching is allowed! A high five means a detention! They take the whole bullying thing to the WAY extreme!
