WWYD-Pumpkins.. UPDATE #2 - Pumpkins not so important when a house goes up in flames.

So is this thread now about cellphones? :confused3

AND nope, my IPHONE was not free.

"So is this thread now about cellphones?" Well, The Mystery Machine said something about it, then you quoted her, so I guess you have to ask yourself. :confused3:confused3

And yeah, my cell phone, the LG Vue was free, I got it for keeping my contract going with the company. And I'm on the lowest paying plan possible. Infact, when we went to get it, the guy at the store couldn't believe how little we pay. But sorry, I guess I'm not allowe to talk about that here?? :confused3

I would let it go. The police in our area probably wouldn't even take a police report. It is too common for pumpkins to be smashed after the lights are out on Halloween.

As a side note, I have 2 ceramic pumpkins that I put out. We were at a wedding on Halloween night, so I brought my ceramic pumpkins in the house. Don't want to give the kids a way to get back at us because we weren't giving out candy.

I'm sorry, but can you tell me where you stand on this issue, because you haven't made it abundantly clear in your 6 posts. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Just joking, I get it, you think it should be let go. Which it has been, so lets all just let it go now. :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Darn. I was wondering if you were going to get them and plant them for next year.

You know what they say about opinions. Everybody has one. You have to do what's right for you.

I'm really upset now. I just got home, and the one pumpkin that they had dropped on the street, was now ripped apart and thrown all over my front stoop and from of my driveway. I'm sure its just some punk kids, but I'm getting very upset and a little scared about this. I mean, WTH?!?!? Were good people, gave out great candy for halloween, and did the best decorations on the block - why attack us?????? I'm so upset now, I want to put a NO TRESSPASSING sign outside! I've thrown out everything they could possibly take and distroy like the three little white pumpkins, and I'm thinking of throwing out tour mums before they get a chance to do something with them.

If you are absolutely certain those are your pumpkins, go take them. Seriously. Someone stole them from you, so go take them back. If not, let it go.

The last thing you should do is call the police. Even though it might make the police dispatcher's day to take the call (because he'd be laughing his fanny off), it's not a good idea to bother the cops with silly things.

You may need them for something serious one day, so you don't want to be known as the crank whose pumpkins got ripped off.

Oops, posted the same time as your last post.

Well, now your home is being vandalized, so that's a whole different animal. Now you should call the cops. Point out the house where you saw your pumpkins and let them handle it.

I just don't understand why we are being targeted. I mean, maybe its just some punk kid, but why is he attacking my house?? There are plenty of homes in this street with pumpkins, why not go after them? We had a party on Halloween, maybe its someone who didn't get invited and is mad about it? It was a pre-schooler party though!!
Also, on Halloween night, someone knocked on our door really loud at around 7.45 at night and ran away. The next morning, we found our witch (which was in the back yard) with her arm ripped off. I just really wish my DH wasn't working late tonight. Sorry if I sound like a big baby. I'm 100% going to that house tomorrow morning to find out whats up. I'm be nice, non-accusatory (is that a word??), but I want to know what the hell is going on here!! I go all out on Halloween, I never have bubbles going all day/night and let the kids take as much candy as they want!!! Sorry, I'm just going on now....

Sorry--that warrants calling the cops now.

And punk kids ignore signs.

I don't want to call the cops. But I will be going over to that house tomorrow morning. I wish I could go right now, but DH isn't home, and I'm here alone with my girls who are upstairs sleeping already (this daylight savings stuff is killing them!). I'm just so upset that we are being targeted for some reason that is unknown to me. I'll probably feel differently by next halloween, but as of right now, I won't be putting ANYTHING out, or giving out candy.

Awesome!! One more question.... you did it on Oct/Nov of one year, and they stayed there OK and were good for Oct of the next year? I don't want pumpkins in July!!! LOL

I've tossed them in our compost area and had them grow. They generally are "ready" at about the right time in the Fall.

a little off topic but....
my 15yr old nephew had a friend over. the friend left with nephews ipod. nephew told his mom. his mom told him to go get it back. next thing you know, the police are at my sisters house. my nephew was charged with "robbery by sudden snatching". :confused3 that's the actual term they used. they did reduce it to petty theft but he is still on probation for taking his ipod out of the other boy's pocket. no fight or anything. the juvenile justice lady even told my nephew that he shouldn't have taken it back himself. she told him that he should have called 911. no joke. they also said that none of this would have happened if my sister had done the right thing by calling the police and filing charges against the other boy first. so stupid to waste all this police/court time with such a silly thing.

so if the op went and took back her pumpkins and the other people called the police ON HER, she could actually end up being the one in legal trouble

Thanks for that info - good to know. Realy sucks that the "friends" parents would call the cops on your nephue seeing that it was HIS ipod to begin with! See, thats why I'm scared to approach these people, I mean, what if there nuts like that?!?!? Before the thing tonight, I was just going to let it go, but now..... I think something has to be done, and I don't know if I trust DH to do it!! LOL

Definitely go over there tomorrow! Get your pumpkins back! :yay::woohoo::yay:
