Tomorrow is my ADR date for Magic Kingdom for Tuesday, April 21st. I'm torn about what to do. There is EMM - Fantasy Land that day that we plan on attending, so we will be up very early that day. We only have 1 day at MK and this is our last park day before moving to Universal.

My original plan had us doing EMM then staying the entire day until the Happily Ever After show at 9:00 PM. I know there is a lot to do at MK, but our main purpose is the major rides. My kids are 14+11 and don't want to do any character pictures this time. So we want to hit up Fantasy Land, then the major headliners such as Space, Buzz, Haunted Mansion, Splash and Thunder Mountain and Jungle Cruise and Pirates. The rest we can take it or leave it really.

Since we have breakfast with EMM, we plan on eating at 10:00 am. My first plan was to eat supper at 4:00 at Tony's and skip lunch. There is no where that really catches my eye in MK to eat. Should we stick with this plan, and then have 4 hours after dinner to kill, or will we burn out? Should we leave early afternoon and rest have dinner elsewhere and return for 8:00 to see Happily Ever After? We are staying offsite in Windsor Hills. Or should we leave the park and have supper at a near by resort (we already have Ohana's booked for another day) - is so, any recommendations?

We like Be Our Guest for lunch. Air conditioning, interesting ambiance, decent food. I’d probably do a late breakfast, late lunch, go to one of the resorts for dinner, and return for the fireworks.

Breakfast ends at 10, so make sure you don't cut that too close. I'd be headed in the door by 9:45 at the latest.

I like your plan of an early dinner. We like Skipper's Canteen. The apps are really good. If nothing in MK really strikes your fancy, I'd do one of the monorail resorts for dinner. The Wave. Grand Floridian Cafe. If you leave MK for dinner, it will make this break longer, so you won't have 4 hours "to kill." Honestly, I don't think you'll have any hours to kill. Things always take longer than you think they will, but I would also take the time to do multiples of favorite rides or check out the "minor" rides and have some fun.

I definitely would not go back to an offsite resort, but that's because I would then be tempted just to call it a night and not go through the hoops to get back to MK.

I don't think you'll burn out. Take your time at breakfast. Take your time at dinner. Make an afternoon break somewhere to enjoy a snack and people watch.

Late breakfast. Afternoon snacks (dole whip, milkshakes, Mickey bars). Dinner around 5 or so, because my family would be famished by the time we got home if we had dinner at 4! For dinner, I'd do Skippers OR go to The Wave, GF Cafe, etc., if you want to get out of the parks for a break from the crazies. Monorail ride makes a nice relaxing time, as well as when you are eating.
Just remember to use your eating times as leisure time. No rushing. Enjoy sitting in the a/c (especially if it's hot out). Use your meals as your breaks and you'll be fine!

Replying to put in another vote for Skipper's Canteen. It's a more interesting menu than a lot of the other spots and the themeing in the restaurant is on point. The butterfly room was especially cool for our kids.
