My last visit to WDW was August 2013. Our flight was delayed and we were offered 2 free airline tickets roundtrip. I am thinking about heading to the world Thursday May 1st-returning home May 5th, possible giving us 3 full days and possibly a 4th partial day in the parks. I am thinking about not doing park hoppers, using the FP plus. We have made about 4 trips in the last 3 years and never have seen the Boardwalk area or Downtown disney so maybe carving out some time to see one of these. I have a DS 14 who may be reaching his peak of Disney but agreed to go. Is it worth it? I am little concerned as they are predicting crowd level 5 and reading posts from todays the SB lines are looking long and it's supposed to be low crowds. We have a long stressful winter and this may give us a boost to get out of town and have something to look forward to.

Only you know if it's worth it, but short trips are super fun. We did a short trip right before Thanksgiving, 4 nights, 3 full days in the parks. Very fun and totally worth it. With free airfare, even better. Have fun deciding.

Crowd level 5s aren't that bad; better than what you're going to get most days until September. Go and have a good time!

I think it's a great idea! In fact, my mom and I are flying in on Friday, May 2nd and leaving on Monday, May 5th. We are staying a the Boardwalk and will do a two day park hopper pass and will spend our arrival day at DTD and our departure day at a character breakfast and exploring the Boardwalk. The flower and garden festival will be at EPCOT and the crowds won't be high yet. It's a perfect time, so I say go for it! :goodvibes

With free flights I wouldn't hesitate. :thumbsup2 We usually do longer trips but it's largely to make the expense of the flights worth it.
