I think part of my problem is when the two of us go to Vegas in May we are going to live it up since it is our first major trip alone in YEARS. We are finally at the point where DD shrugged and said she'd just watch YouTube at Grandma and Grandpa's for the week.

We have some really nice plans while we are there so I think I want to feel the part even though the whole city is mostly a city of wannabes. HA HA!

We just returned from Vegas and I didn’t take any of my expensive bags or shoes. Even staying at the Venetian the crowd is very casual. I wore dresses every night but just carried a sparkly Coach clutch. Crime is up in Vegas. You don’t want to be a target.

I went wild and had a bunch of dresses delivered so I had time to return what didn't work before my trip to WDW. My biggest trouble is I am 5'1" and all the models are like 5'10" so they look adorable and I look like a Pilgrim. Both Nordstrom Rack & Macys had decent options, although I was just at Marshalls and they are now rolling out all the dressy holiday clothes so you may have a lot of luck at stores rigtht now.

So I'm 5'9 and the dresses looked like long shirts

I feel that way too most of the time now buying clothes. All the fast fashion now is just not tailored the way it used to be and the fabric is so thin and flimsy feeling. It’s a rare thing when everything I order online fits anymore. It’s usually I’ll order 5 things and one may work.

We love "O" so we reserved the VIP experience to have something a little different than our previous times. Not sure which others yet.

There aren't any headliners we want to see that week unless Lady Gaga comes back by May.

We will probably just eat fancy and gamble

Funny about the Venetian, we will be at the Palazzo. It's been 15 years or so since we've actually stayed there. We usually stay at Caesar's or Nobu, but decided to do something different. We like that it is all suites at the Venetian/Palazzo.

We stayed at the Palazzo this time. We alternate between the Palazzo and the Venetian. The Palazzo is quieter overall which I love. I like coming back to a quiet hallway/room at the end of a lively night in Vegas.

Bonus about the Palazzo. If you really want to treat yourself go to the Canyon Ranch Spa in the Palazzo tower. I spent an entire day there while my husband was in meetings. You just have to purchase one spa treatment and you get unlimited use of the spa facilities like all the wet rooms/saunas/wave room/ salt room, etc. It was a dreamy day.

As for shows, I bet some new headliners will be announced at the beginning of the year.

We do fancy dining in Vegas, too. There are just so many choices!

It’s so difficult to buy clothes online. I saw a really cute outfit last spring and ordered it for summer. Normally I wear a tall length in pants because my legs are on the long side, but it only came in regular length. Fine, I think to myself, I will just get some cute flat sandals if it’s a little on the short side. So it arrives, and the pants are looooooong! I took a three inch hem and they were still too long! I ended up hemming them almost six inches so they weren’t dragging the ground in the back. The only thing I can figure is that they wanted me to wear six inch platforms/heels with them, although that is not what was pictured on the model.

Sorry your clothes weren’t as flattering as you had hoped.

Okay, so now I am torn . . . The sparkly Mickey head bag was released today, and when I went back to look at it, I noticed they had this bag back in stock. I love this bag and was disappointed when it sold out before. It has two different crossbody straps and they can be attached to the smaller insert if you just want to wear a little bag. I can only get one bag, so I don’t know which to get. I am really leaning towards this one . . .
