Next week I'm flying down to drive back with my daughter the next day (CP/CM). My flight will arrive at 12:30PM, expect to be at OKW where I have a studio for one night...just me, the dad. ME will probably get me there by 2, I figure. DD works from 3:30 - 10:30PM, MGM. I have unused days for the park though DD could probably get me in without. We'll be leaving early the next day and driving straight through to home (16 or so hours), but my question is this. What should I do while I'm there? I could sit by the pool and avoid the parks. I could go to the parks (I don't mind going by myself). I could ride around on Disney Transportation all day. I could go over the CR and listen for rumors... I could read a book. I have a Disney nametag my daughter gave me. I could dress like a coordinator and wear my name tag and walk around giving people advice. I could go to the SSR presentation. I could rent clubs and golf.

What would you do? Any suggestions. Be creative. I should make this a contest for the most outrageous suggestion. What would the prize be?

:)

Dress up like one of the DVC guides who man the kiosks in the parks and maybe sneak into one of their "meetings". :thumbsup2 Be a "mouse" in the corner and report back here on where the REAL next DVC will be! Either that, or you could pretend to be a construction worker at CR and get to see the REAL plans!

Go to AK and ride EE for an hour, non-stop. That might make you puke though, so maybe that's not such a good idea. LOL, EE is the only coaster I have ever gotten motion sick on. I went early morning and rode 3 times in a row, pretty much non-stop and I was so motion sick, I couldn't even stand to walk around a corner for the next hour! :lmao:

Definitely go over to CR and utilize that name badge. You would be doing a great service for the collective. This post will self destruct in 5 seconds. ::cop:

If I had one day at WDW and was facing a 16-hour drive the next day, I would want to have some time to relax. I would spend some time at the pool, have dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. I would want to go into at least one park, but I have an AP so I wouldn't be burning a ticket to go in for just a few hours.

Also, if you're going to be there on your DD's last day working at WDW, make sure you go to wherever she works and take lots of photos of her on the job if you haven't done so already on a previous trip.

I like this idea, though it's much more practical than I expected. FYI, a 16 hour drive doesn't bother me all that much.
