WWYD ??? For this coming weekend 24-26

We are leaving in a few days and only have Saturday - Sunday and most of Monday for DL, though we want to be on the road towards Montery by 3pm roughly.Bought the 3 day PHPass and My question is how would you go about splitting up those days in the two parks (DL - DCA) With 2 8 year olds. We have been to WDW but never to DL and we want to MAXIMIZE our short trip to the fullest. Also, we got a good rate on Holiday Anaheim Resort ($100)...good deal, bad deal...decent place to stay? Best way to get to the park from the hotel?

ANY and ALL help is greatly appreciated since we have never been to DL or that area at all.

To maximize, I would hop each day. Start at DSL since it opens earlier so you don't waste the morning hours waiting for DCA to ope, around lunchtime hop over to DCA so you miss the biggest crowds of the day at DL, then around dinner or after dinner, hop back to DL for the fireworks and nighttime rides!!

This will ensure you get the most out of your days!! Hopping there is so easy, not like WDW at all!!

I would take the ART shuttle to the park! I have never stayed there so can't comment on the hotel!!

We typically go to DL early in the morning. Be in line about 30 min. before opening time. With a three day ticket you will have early entry one day. You could use it either Sat or Monday. Personally, I would use it on Saturday. Do Fantasyland and tomorrowland during that time.

In the afternoon when DL is getting full/ busy, cross over to DCA. Then, in the evening head back to DL. The parks are very close together, unlike WDW, so hopping back and forth is not a problem.

Good advice so far. Here is another: Make sure you know how to use Fastpass. And not just use it, but really get a lot out of it.
