WWYD - First day transportation

We are staying off site our first night in Orlando to save a little money since we're driving and won't get in until the evening. We check into ASMo the next day and I want to be at the parks for rope drop, but that means we have to wake up super early to have time to check in and get our park tickets, etc. Would it be quicker and easier to just drive to MK that morning or would Disney buses be ok? What time would you suggest we do all this if the park opens at 9am? I also plan to come back around noon for a midday break b/c I have 2 little ones, so I'm not sure if its better to have our own car or take the bus.

I would take the bus.. If you drive you have to park and take the tram to the TTC and then take the monarail or boat over to MK. The bus drops you right in front of MK. To get there by 9:00 I would be at your bus stop by no later that 8:15. Your bus will stop at Sport, Music & Movies resort before heading to MK. Since you are checking in that day as well I would suggest doing the online check in. We did this for our trip this past weekend and there was no one in the online checking line yet there was at least 5 families in the other line. We got our paperwork and were out the door in less that 10 minutes.

9am opening.. So you need to leave the resort 8am. So arrive there at 7am so you have plenty of time to check in, tickets etc

Take the bus because it drops you right off in front of MK. It is much quicker then driving and dealing with the boat/monorail ride over.

Good luck and enjoy the trip! Be sure to keep bathing suits/towels in your car. Your room more then likely won't be ready when you take that mid day break, so being able to hit the pool at the resort till 3pm is really nice
