Definitely Jersey week! I would never wanna be anywhere near WDW during Easter or Spring Breaks. November is also great with weather for the most part.
Exactly. Jersey is not a a big state! Yes.... you may run into many people from NJ at your hotel or on the Jungle Cruise or in HDDR (Seriously, last year I think half the restaurant was from Jersey. The actors started making jokes about it) but really...we can't have THAT big of an impact right? I think the combo of Jersey week, F&W, and the marathon is what affects crowds that week... not just us Jersey Folks!
Our night at HDDR last year during Jersey week was hilarious. I think most of our show, people were from NJ and it became the joke of the night with the actors. When they do "oh they come from..." song, it was NJ almost every single time lol. So much fun!
We've gone right around Jersey Week the last couple years and are going again this year (Nov 8-13). Last year our trip overlapped the Wine and Dine and so there were definitely crowds related to that, but still wasn't anything unbearable. We still have to plan and use Rope Drop/FPP to make the best use of our time but things are packed with wall to wall people.
Oh, that was round trip from PHL to MCO......Frontier is decent too, but the flight times are tough and the prices were high. Spirit out of PHL was the way to go for us!
Jersey week, without a doubt. I worked at Splash Mountain as a CP and during Easter the parks were insane. You can't really enjoy it. I've also been there twice during Jersey week... it's crowded but manageable. We live around the South Jersey area. We flew on Southwest from Baltimore to Tampa and rented a car. All around saved us money and we don't mind rental cars.
I've had trips both at Easter and over the Wine and Dine Half Marathon in the last couple of years.
Given a choice, I would pick November because of the lower crowds, though I do like the April weather. For people living in the north, having that trip scheduled in March or April can be good for morale in the heart of winter.
100% Jersey week. We were there last year and the crowds were not bad at all! I'd go so far as to say pleasant even. And a lot of the resorts were full last year too. Resort capacity doesn't ALWAYS mean full parks.
Thank you all! We have back to school night and I'm going to go out of my comfort zone and ask teacher if she'll give my daughter homework if we pull her for a week or if its something we can make up before or when we get back. I LOVE Disney in April/May so hoping me and the teacher can come up to an agreeable solution without risking her wanting to kill me for even asking.
That's what I'm trying to negotiate with husband, although I think it comes out substantially more $$ since we're going on the Deluxe Dining Plan and Water Parks & More Park Hoppers.
Jersey week definitely. Flights out of Baltimore are cheaper than Philly, on southwest, if that's an option. It's a 2 hour drive for us to Baltimore. Philly is only 20 minutes but the prices are cheaper and they have many more options.

Thank you unfortunately we can only fly out of Newark as we take early morning flights as is, and getting up any earlier than we already do would be brutal. Plus I'm not a good flyer so the thought of taking off and landing more than once in a day is not beneficial to my husband's arm circulation. LOL.

Hey I understand! Sometimes philly is so expensive with crappy times that it's cheaper to just stay overnight in Baltimore and fly out of there. We almost did that last year but found a cheaper flight with an early morning arrival out of Philly, so we switched.
