Hi!

We have a 5:15 adr at 1900 Park fare. We are planning to spend the day at Animal Kingdom.

I understand we need to allow quite a bit of time to bus between the two.

We have 2 young kids (6,4). We have never been....should we plan to arrive early to check out GF?

We are going in January and not planning any "downtime" at our own resort that day.

Thanks for any advice!

I would begin walking to the AK exit at 3:30. If you arrive at GF early you can explore the resort. The lobby is beautiful. You can check out the stores and restaurants/lounges. The outside areas are nice too. It will fill the time before dinner perfectly.

You may have to play this one by ear. I remember one trip where ours were that age, and we left AK in the afternoon to hop somewhere and our youngest fell asleep on the bus. We just stayed on that bus and didn't get off until he'd had about a 45 min nap. Wherever we ended up, we just hopped another bus to our destination.

I think I would be headed out of AK around 3:00-3:30. You'll be at GF early, but you can always take the monorail loop around the resorts. Maybe take the ferry to/from MK. Lots of things to take up some time and give all of you a bit of a rest.

GF is a lovely place to nap too! I remember when DD was small- around 4, we took her to the tea party with the Mad Hatter at 1900 PF which started at 1:30pm. We had been up early for EMH at MK and tok the monorail over to GF around 12. Arrived at GF about 20 mins later and DD went to the couch in the main lobby, climbed up and immediately passed out and stayed there until the tea party started at 1:30! DH and I had planned on going over early to explore the resort and check out the Gingerbread house (it was after Thanksgiving), but one of us had to stay with her the whole time, so we just took turns. With all the noise and commotion that was going on, plus the paino player was not playing slow, sleepy songs...she managed to pass out and stay conked out!
