So torn on what to do. ME, DH , DD15 and her friend 13. I like to have a wow factor on each trip and was leaning towards Gift of a Lifetime for this trip. (they arrange scavenger hunt type things at Disney depending on your interests)

My free night to make either idea work is on the only night that Hirambi Nights at AK are offered during our trip.

I know AK is a limited thing but DD having a friend on a trip is a first ever occurance and see we are footing the bill on the trip might be the last! LOL! So hence the scavenger seeming very fun for the girls...

So torn...

DH and I got a Gifts of a Lifetime hunt for our DS for his 16th birthday 2 years ago.

It was SO MUCH FUN!!! He had no idea what was happening. By the time we got half way around Epcot he and his dad were skipping between clues and we were all laughing so hard we were crying.

One of the best experiences of our life. Worth every single penny.

Have a fabulous time on your trip, no matter what you choose :)

A scavenger hunt sounds hot. really hot. in june

I vote for the other option, and such a unique experience!

Thanks! I am thinking the scavenger hunt is the way to go. We go to Disney every June so Know it is hot but I can't remember when it sort of cools down in the evenings. Think 7 pm to 9 pm would be alright for the hunt or do I need broad daylight?

I was hoping for an evening hunt thought that would be easier? The Lion King thing is nice sounding but tickets are kind of up there. Hate how to involve alcohol in the ticket price b/c for those of the guests that don't drink I always view it as a waste of money....

Our vacations are very well thought out, and we are not as likely to do a surprise. Simply - because if I chose "A" instead of "B", I would hate to find out later that they would rather have done "B".

So - I would ask them to decide. Whatever they would decide would still be a WOW, and something to look forward to.

I hear you. I am just having trouble grasping if this new AK thing is kid friendly or not. Hard for me to explain it to them without seeing a video or hearing a report on it etc. UGH.....

I know it's not either of your options, but I like to confuse things! We loved, loved, loved the Epcot Seas Aqua Tour. If you haven't done that yet, add it to your list!

THanks! My DD has a swimming with living things phobia! I can't even get her to Discovery Cove!!! Thanks for the input though!

Maybe an Illuminations cruise or Wishes dessert party? No alcohol involved and either could be a lot of fun for the girls.

EPCOT is also doing an "after dark" thing in the World Showcase. It was initially promoted as sort of a date night thing with small plated foods and alcohol pairings at select restaurants. They recently changed the offerings to include smoothies and non-alcoholic drinks so that non-drinkers and kids could be included. I have a feeling that Harambe Nights will be similar.

Note that the cost doesn't go down just because the customer is not of legal drinking age.

Thanks! That is the trouble I am having with the AK after dark party. None of us drink and I felt ticket prices were high...so for that reason I am out on the AK nights....I loved the Dessert Party thought but can't make it work on the night we wanted to do the Gifts of a Lifetime. I was hoping that could be the last stop on the scavenger hunt....I check constantly. If I could get all that to line up, that would be amazing. I did look into the epcot illuminations party but I can't bet past the negative reviews and adult vibe....
