I am a single mama taking my daughters to WDW next weekend. On saturday night I have booked them to go to the Poly Kids Club, which is open from 4:30pm-12am.

I plan on dropping them there at 4:30pm and being back at poly no later than 10:30pm to pick them up, as I am sure they will already be asleep on the floor by that point :upsidedow and we have an 8:15am ADR the next morning.

What would you do with roughly 5 hours of solo MK time on a Saturday night? Crowd calendars say it is moderately suggested park that day and it is open til 12am, but I just can't do that to my little buggers since we have to be up early the next day.

I am interested in hitting up HM, POTC, and the coasters. What order would you suggest to accomplish at least one ride on all (except 7DMT)? I will have already used my 3 FP+ with kiddos earlier in the day, but am more than happy to run back to the FP machines for more!

Book FP+s for the Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and either 7DMT (not sure why you excluded that one) or Splash Mountain. You can book one at 5:00, one at 6:00 and one at 7:00. After you use those three, look for more FPs for some of the more popular rides. FPs are often available later in the day. The single biggest benefit of FP+ is to offer line avoidance for people who arrive in the park later in the day, so you should jump on this advantage. Once you have locked in your three most desired rides, then you can roam the park and enjoy the other attractions that do not have lines that are too long.

Oops I meant to say-- I will not have FP+ because I am riding the the kiddos earlier in the day. Unless Disney would let me escort them through FP lines and me not ride, they are only 5 years old so I will be riding everything with them and using FP+ to avoid waiting-in-line meltdowns.

I will however do the additional FP machines. If 7DMT has any availability from the machines i'd definitely take it but if not, 2 days later we have a pre-opening BOG ADR and I am planning to ride it with the kiddos then.

My plan would be as follows:

Ride Haunted Mansion.
Get back in line and ride Haunted Mansion again.
Get back in line and ride Haunted Mansion again.
Get back in line and ride Haunted Mansion again.
Get back in line and ride Haunted Mansion again.
Get back in line and ride Haunted Mansion again.
Leave happy.

Certainly minimizes walking :P

I would ride BTMRR and Splash Mountain first. By the time you get those done, crowds will thin out and POTC and HM do not typically have long waits at night. Finally, go during Wishes to ride Space Mountain.

You might be able to get a HM fastpass after you have used your original three, but the other rides will probably be gone.

To give you an actual, honest answer... ;)

I would probably book a 4th FP as soon as you use the 3rd one, and it would most likely be for Space Mountain. Depending on the time that one hits, either got Space, HM, Big Thunder, with whatever else you can fit in; or go Big Thunder, HM, then Space. If you can get the Space FP early enough, try to book one for Big Thunder as soon as possible after riding Space. You have a decent chance of getting a relatively quick standby at HM.

I'd probably rule out riding the Mine Train, unless you don't mind missing Wishes. We rode it during Wishes last June, and it was basically a walk-on.

I would leave the wet rides until last. For me that would mean Space Mountain, BTMR, Haunted Mansion, POC (sometimes wet, sometimes not) and Splash. Or I would amuse myself and do Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, POC, Splash and then use BTMR to spin dry! Enjoy!

As soon as your use your 3rd fast pass I would book your 4th one right after you finish that ride. Use it for one of the mountains so you know you have at least one major attraction line you can skip. I would use it on Space but that's because it's my favorite :p

Maybe don't feel like you have to accomplish everything in 5 hours. Make a note of 3 rides you really want to experience yourself so you don't feel overwhelmed and time crunched, which kind of defeats the relaxing bit in alone time you wanted. Grab an ice cream or treat, sit down for a few minutes, and people watch. I'm sure you'll enjoy those few moments of not having to think and "adulting/parenting", haha.

I hope you guys have a blast!

Hop on the monorail and head over to bar at Ohana's.

I may actually do this right after dropping the kids at the Poly kids club, have a drink before I head into MK!

Yes, that is what this time is about! Just a little alone time with me and the mouse while my little ones have fun at the kids club. I have very fond memories of going there back when it was the Neverland club!

Definitely enjoy a drink! In my eyes, there's nothing better than riding the coasters after a stop at Trader Sam's :)

Book a different 4th fast pass for each of you. Go back to the park with everyones magic bands. Use each band to ride a different ride solo.

I would definitely vote for a stop at Trader Sam's first and then head into the parks. Although I love the rides I would also take the time to slow down and take in my surroundings. If you can get the 4th FP I would try for one of the coasters, and take the one with the earliest time I could make. Enjoy the freedom!

Will the kids ride HM, PotC, etc? (Our kids have been riding those since they were each under 2 years old.) If so, I'd focus on rides they aren't tall enough for yet.

I was thinking of this!

We have a FP for BTMRR, they were both scared of the Barnstormer last year but enjoyed it and want to do it again, this year they are tall enough for BTMRR. We will probably do POTC because they like pirates, but I don't think I should bring them into HM so this will be my only chance for that.

You could try this, but before my DS turned 7, the system would never allow me to make separate FP+ for him. If it won't allow you to do this, you could certainly make 3 FP+ for ONE ride for the evening and then ride over and over again!

I actually did this very same thing last August. I dropped DS at Lilo's and headed to MK. I hadn't been there earlier, so didn't have FP+, so I headed straight back to the FP+ kiosk by Philharmagic. It was probably about 6 pm at that point and there weren't any FP+ that I wanted in the time frame I needed. I, too, was looking for coasters and wanted to pick DS up around 10:00 pm. The CM at the kiosk was so sweet. I ended up not making a FP and thanked him for helping me and started to walk away. Next thing I know, he walked up next to me and said, "you want to ride 7DMT? I could sprinkle a little pixie dust!' and he walked me onto the ride! :) It was very sweet. I rode 7DMT, walked onto HM and did standby for BTMRR. I then just wandered around a bit and soaked everything in - it was really nice!

This is what I was going to suggest! Definitely book a 4th FB for each of you (just remember to take their bands with you). You can book them all for the same thing, then use the app to change the time/attraction for two of them. who knows? You might have luck snagging a hard-to-get FP if you're only trying to get one.

Solo, I'd go to Epcot and walk the WS while getting drinks around the world. Would also visit with the manatees in Living Seas, ride Spaceship Earth, single ride Test Track and ride Living with the Land.

At MK...I don't know. Whatever I could walk on that had 20 minute standby or less. Probably wouldn't be my faves so I'd prefer Epcot.
