WWTBAM - 250,000 point question ...

Ok, I missed it. I had already used "ask the audience" and "50/50" so all I had left was "phone a stranger" and that didn't help at all.

I thought I'd do another "ask the audience" here on the CB. So, please vote above but don't give the answer away in the thread. Resist the urge to look it up and just pick one like you would in WWTBAM.

I'll be curious to see if I'm the only one in the world not to know this. I've already asked a few friends and actually most picked the same that I did and were wrong along with me. I've only had one friend that knew the answer without even hearing the choices.

I could be talked into it after 3 martinis! I am not into the fastest finger thing, I can get the questions, but I could never make it into the hotseat with my slow fingers! Maybe next time I'm there, I'll go watch, at least.

The Mamas and the Papas.

Like the slim plurality in the poll above, I too selected The Lovin' Spoonful. Crash and burn. I'm glad that I wasn't alone in not knowing the answer. I've second guessed myself for days but it was just a question that I didn't know the answer to.

Dan, by missing the 250,000 point question, I dropped back down to the 32,000 point level. Got the 1000 point hat, the 32,000 point polo shirt, a lanyard and 10 WWTBAM pins for each level from 100 to 32,000 points. If you make it to the 1,000,000 now, you win a 3 day Disney cruise for a family of 4!! I was within three questions!

mickeyfan1, the nice thing about WWTBAM at MGM is that you don't have to win the fastest finger question to get into the hot seat. Everyone in the audience plays along with every question. When the person in the hot seat misses a question, the person with the highest score comes down from the audience to replace them in the hot seat. That is how I got in. Best I've ever done on the fastest finger is #2.

I have been on the hot seat six times at WWTBAM-PI and have never made it by the fastest finger route. Congratulations for making it the hot seat. 250,000 is the farest that I have gotten also.

The song "Creeque Alley" tells the history of the Mamas and the Papas. On our last Disney Cruise to St. Thomas, I wanted to go looking for Creeques Alley (the proper name), but we didn't have time.

I know that John Sebastian founded the Lovin' Spoonful. Why can't I get these questions when I'm in the hot seat???

I believe that the highest question I've ever answered was the 125,000 point question. I have never managed to answer the 250K question. Yet.

Zone something something. I might know it if I saw the choices (unless all the choices started with Zone - which is probably the case).

The question that stumped me was a movie question. All I remember is that the answer was NOT Vertigo. When I asked the audience, three answers each got 33% of the votes. I was doomed.

It seems like I get all the "art" questions. Like "What is a pastoral scene". My brother and sister both excelled at art in high school and college. I was the dummy who didn't know Rembrandt wasn't just a brand of toothpaste.
