Ok - I don't meant to beat a dead horse, but can someone give me some insight on the WWOHP crowd level the Saturday AFTER Thanksgiving? We are staying @ the RPR so we will take advantage of the early morning entry. However, - I would love to see it @ night also. Do you think we would be smarter to wait until the evening hours to go? Also - does anyone know what time the park closes?

Thanksgiving weekend is going to be jammed...I hate to think about the crowds at HP! Evening might be your best bet but definitely take advantage of the early entry. I wouldn't be surprised to see that section close shortly after opening due to crowds. The parks should close at either 9pm or 10pm that weekend...again due to crowds.

after thanksgiving day, it will be like this:

but the happy faces will have frowns.....

yikes, it is a very crowded time period.
t-day and that weekend is very busy and the parks will be full.

I hear ya! I am trying to be as positive as I can about the whole thing. We have no choice at this point but to make the best of it. We will be smiling. We are just so excited to finally be there. I have been to Disney several times this weekend in the past so am not completely naive about the crowds. I just wanted some extra opinions about the time of day that would be our best bet. Thanks for your help. I am going to attempt the early morning and try to see what we can at night. We are definitely open to any other strategy suggestions if anyone has any???? Thanks again.

All I could recommend is to get there early and do as much as you can.

we did early entry on Mon, Tues. BEFORE! thanksgiving this past year, and it was a zoo for WWoHP. it was closed before "regular" hours started. can't imagine what thanksgiving weekend will be like!

We are renting a house this trip, but I'm going to pick a night and get an onsite hotel just for the perks. I was thinking Tues/Weds before Thanksgiving to avoid the weekend crowds. What I don't get though, is if it's THAT crowded, why do the parks close at 5 and 6 pm?!? Those are not peak time hours.

Before Thanksgiving isn't the peak time...it's the following weekend that's peak.

I was under the impression that Thanksgiving Day itself wasn't as bad as the days following.

We are headed there either mon or tues of thanksgiving week too. I am nervous about the crowds too but it's the only time we can go. And my kids are too young for FJ, so we are hoping to do single rider/child swap and then take the castle tour.
