I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post my question or not. We will be going to Disney 11/19/12 - 11/27/12. We are planning to go to IOA on 11/20/12 for my DD16 who is a Harry Potter fan. I thought we would be able to go to Legoland on 11/27/12 for my 2 DS's before we begin our trip home but Legoland is closed that day. We don't have any other free days to go to Legoland on this trip.

Other than the WWOHP there is not anything else at IOA that we are interested in. Am I entirely crazy to go to IOA for park opening to do WWOHP and then leave and go to Legoland for the rest of the day? I realize the two parks are in opposite directions from WDW. Is this possible to accomplish or am I crazy for trying?

I thought my older son would be interested in the rides at Universal Studios but he really wants to go to Legoland. He is 11 now and by the time we return for another visit he will be too old for Legoland.

Thank you for any help or suggestions.

Yeah, pretty crazy!!I've driven from Legoland to the Disney exits on I-4 in 45 minutes with no traffic,Universal is another 15-20 minutes away and that's not counting the 20 plus minutes it takes to get from the Universal parks to the parking garage,so you're talking about 1 hour and a half from park to park without traffic if you're lucky. It's also pretty insane to go into IOA which in my opinion is one of the best parks in the world, pay the entrance to just do Potter. Also realize that even though the Thanksgiving crowds will not be in full force on the 20th it's likely the parks will not be empty so it could take you a couple of hours to do the Potter area so by the time you get out of IOA it might be noon or later with a 1.5 hour drive ahead of you getting you into Legoland around 2pm with a 5pm closing time,so 3 hours at Legoland.I've left my house in Miami at 5am and driven to Tampa to do Busch Gardens for a couple of hours and then driven to Orlando to do a couple of things at Sea World and then gone to both Universal parks and finished the day at Downtown Disney so I've done crazier things like that before, the difference is that I have AP's to the parks.I can't imagine paying full admission to IOA and Legoland to be in them 3 hours each, each park is worthy of a full day,I would pick one or the other or take a day away from Disney and do both, which would be my suggestion as it will still leave you 7 days at Disney.
