One of my children is too short for WWoHP, so if dh and I take turns Staying with her while the other rides with the other children, do we still have to to put our bag into a locker? Just asking because I'm not sure if bags are prohibited in the entire 'land' or just the one ride.

Where exactly are bags prohibited? All the rides? The stores? We may do the smaller coaster with the whole family, will the bag be a problem then?

Thanks in advance.

Any of the attractions that don't allow carry on bags provide free lockers for the duration of the ride. If you're do Child Swap, someone else can hold the bag while you're riding. You can have a bag in any restaurant and store...it's just some of the attractions prohibit bags for guest safety. I think you would be OK on Flight of the Hippogriff.

I have Meniere's Disease and so I visited WWoHP and did not ride any rides. I did go through all of the queues though with my purse and a shopping bag. Never a problem once I told the attendents (Hogwarts students!) that I was not riding! In my experience you can do all of IOA without using a locker if you are not riding. I don't see why that wouldn't be true if you were taking turns riding as well. The once or twice I went through a line with my husband and he was going to ride the ride, I just told the attendents that I was not riding, I was just walking through with him. The only ride I went on with my husband was the Sky High Trolley through Suess Landing and they let us take our bags on with us.

We were there last week and used the child swap at The Forbidden Journey. They had no problem letting us keep our backpack when we told them we were doing child swap. The one in the child swap room help the backpack while the other rode. We carried the backpack on Hippogriff with no problem.

I've heard you can take a waist pack/fanny pack on the rides...is that true?

I wore a fanny pack on all the rides including FJ with no problems. It was an average size (approx. 8 inches wide and 3 inches tall).
