WWOHP Advice

Advice needed...WWOHP opens at 9 AM on 9/18, staying onsite we get in at 8 AM correct? What time should we leave the Portofino hotel? I think we will walk to Islands. THANKS!

I just returned from staying at Portofino's over the weekend. You can get in at 8am (sometimes a little earlier) but make sure everyone in your party had their room key because that's what you have to show them to get in. They opened up right at 8 on Sat and Sun, but about 7:50 on Monday. We left at 7:15am the first day and cut through the hard rock hotel parking lot and got in line around 7:30, so 15 minutes at most. We walked the second day as well.. but then took the boat the 3rd. The boat takes about 5 to 10 minutes and drops you off by city walk. They also have guys on bicycles with a buggy attached who will wait by the dock that you can "pay" (they only work off of tips) to take you over there if you want. Hope this helps!

The wait times were not bad at all! Most of the rides we practically walked on to. On Saturday, we went right to WWoHP when the park opened for us and were able to go on the Forbidden Journey back to back. Then we did the dragon challenge with no wait. Once the park opens up at 9am to everyone it gets pretty packed in WWoHP, so we went and did stuff around the rest of the park. The express pass definitely helps to get you through the lines in 10 minutes or less! On Sunday the FJ wasn't running at 8am for some reason so there was a lengthy line because people lined up in the queue anyways, but it was maybe 20 to 25 minutes at most which wasnt bad considering there is alot of stuff to see while you are going through the queue. If you are interested in seeing the Ollivander's wand show you will want to go there first one of the days you get into the park early. The line can get pretty long. They let 30 people in at a time and the show takes 10 to 15 minutes. Monday we went right to Ollivander's and were the first group in.

We stayed at Royal Pacific 2 years ago and took the boat to the park and walked back at closing and the walk was fairly short and very nice. Maybe we will see you there!

Our first day, FJ wasn't working at 8am. We weren't sure if we wanted to go to Olivander's so we took some excellent photos of an almost empty Honeydukes and Zonkos! The shops are mini-attractions themselves and get really crowded later in the day.
